Guruvayur Temple is a Hindu temple dedicated to the Lord Guruvayurappan (four-armed form of the Lord Vishnu),Under the Administration of Guruvayur Devaswom, located in the town of Guruvayur in Kerala, India. It is one of the most important places of worship for Hindus in Kerala and is often referred to as Bhuloka Vaikunta (Holy Abode of Vishnu on Earth).
The presiding deity of the Guruvayur Temple is Guruvayurappan (Vishnu, worshipped in the form of his avatar Krishna). The central icon is a four-armed standing Vishnu carrying the conch Panchajanya, the discus Sudarshana Chakra, the mace Kaumodaki, and a lotus with a Holy basil garland. This image represents the majestic form of Vishnu as revealed to Krishna's parents Vasudeva and Devaki around the time of Krishna's birth. Worship proceeds according to routines laid down by Adi Shankara and later written formally in the Tantric way, the inter-religious spiritual movement that arose in medieval India, by Chennas Narayanan Nambudiri (born in 1427).
The temple is managed by Guruvayur Devaswom under the control of the Government of Kerala. The main festivals of this temple are the 10-day festival in the Malayalam month of Kumbham starting with flag hoisting on Pooyam star,[ Shri Krishna Janmashtami (Birthday of Lord Krishna) in the month of Chingam,[5] Ekadasi (11th day) in the shukla paksha (bright fortnight) in the month of Vrischikam, popularly called as Guruvayur Ekadasi and Vishu on the first day of the month of Medam, once a harvest festival. The temple's sub-deities are Ganapathi, Ayyappan and Bhagavathi, and there are two sub-temples each, one for Ganapathi and the other for Nagadevata nearby the temple. One of its replica temples is Uttara Guruvayurappan Temple located at Mayur Vihar in Delhi. The temple is dedicated to Shri Krishna, who is worshipped as Guruvayurappan, the deity of the famous Shri Krishna Temple in Guruvayur Town in the state of Kerala. This temple is most revered by the Malayalis and Tamilians.
Since Janamejaya was responsible for the death of millions of snakes, he was afflicted with leprosy. He lost all hope of a cure. One day Sage Atreya (son of Atri) came before Janamejaya and told him to take refuge under the feet of Krishna at Guruvayur. Atreya told him that in the temple at Guruvayur the effulgence of Shri Hari is at its best and Vishnu showers his blessings on all devotees. He immediately rushed there and spent the next ten months worshipping the god of Guruvayur. At the end of ten months, he returned home healthy and took the astrologer to task for making a false prediction. The astrologer told him that he would find the mark of a snakebite on his left leg. He had escaped death only because he was at that time in a temple where Anantha (the emperor of serpents) was present and Anantha was the brother to the God at Guruvayur where he had finished worshipping.
The king then decided to build a full-fledged temple at Guruvayur. In time, this temple came to be downgraded and reduced to poverty during the days when Kerala was ruled by the Perumals. The Perumal rulers were mostly Shaivites and did not extend their patronage to Vaishnavite shrines. The Shiva temple at Mammiyur received their patronage and with the shift of royal patronage, the worshippers also moved to the Shiva temple. The Guruvayur temple was thus reduced to utmost poverty. However, one day, a holy man went to the Mammiyur temple for food and hospitality for the night. Though the temple was affluent, the temple authorities pretended they had nothing and scornfully directed him to the neighbouring Guruvayur temple. When the holy man entered the precincts of that temple, he was courteously received by a Brahmin boy and sumptuously fed. The holy man was very much pleased and he pronounced a blessing. According to the legend, Mammiyur Siva temple began to decline, and the fortunes of Guruvayur Vishnu temple progressed from strength to strength.
The temple tank (pond) on the northern side of the temple is called Rudratheertham. According to legend, for thousands of years, Lord Shiva used to bath on the southern bank of this pond. Since Shiva is also known by the name 'Rudra', the pond came to be known as Rudratheertham.

🙏🙏🙏ഇവിടെ അടുത്ത് ശ്രീകൃഷ്ണ ക്ഷേത്രത്തിൽ ഞാൻ വീട്ടിൽ നിന്നുംതുളസി മാല കെട്ടിക്കൊണ്ടുപോയി പക്ഷേ അത് ഭാഗവാന് ചാർത്തി കാണാൻ പറ്റിയില്ല അടുത്ത മാസം വീണ്ടും ഞാൻ കൊണ്ടുപോയി. തിരുമേനി പൂജയ്ക്കു കയറാൻ പോവുകയായിരുന്നു. ഒരുപാട് വേറെ തുളസി മാലകൾ ശ്രീകോവിലിനു വെളിയിൽ ഇരിപ്പുണ്ട്. എനിക്ക് സങ്കടം ആയി ഞാൻ മനസ്സിൽ പറഞ്ഞു എന്റെ കണ്ണാ എനിക്ക് ഞാൻ കൊണ്ടുവന്ന മാല ചാർത്തി കാണാൻ പറ്റിയില്ല ഇന്നെങ്കിലും ഒന്ന് കാണാൻ കഴിഞ്ഞില്ലല്ലോ. ഭഗവാന്റെ വിഗ്രഹത്തിൽ ഒരുപാട് മാലകൾ കിടപ്പുണ്ടായിരുന്നു പെട്ടെന്ന് പൂജയ്ക്കു കയറിയ തിരുമേനി തിരിച്ചു ഇറങ്ങി വന്നു ഞാൻ കൊണ്ടുവന്ന മാല എടുത്തു കൊണ്ടുപോയി ഭഗവാന്റെ കിരീടത്തിൽ കൂടി ചുറ്റി ദേഹത്ത് ചാർത്തി ഞാൻ ശരിയ്ക്കും കരഞ്ഞു പോയി എന്റെ ഭഗവാൻ എന്റെ സങ്കടം കണ്ടു 🙏🙏എന്റെ ഗുരുവായൂരപ്പാ

ഹരേ കൃഷ്ണാ... നമസ്തേ ഗുരുജി എന്റെ ഒരു അനുഭവം അറിയിക്കട്ടെ ഭക്ത വത്സനായ കണ്ണൻ എപ്പോഴും കൂടെ ഉണ്ടാകും സത്യം ആണ്. പൂജ മുറി ഇല്ലാത്തതിനാൽ ഹാളിൽ ആണ് നില വിളക്ക് കൊളുത്തുന്നത്. ഒരു കൃഷ്ണ വിഗ്രഹം അവിടെ വച്ചിട്ട് ആണ് വിളക്ക് കത്തിക്കുന്നത്. വീട് പെയിന്റിംഗ് കഴിഞ്ഞു non veg കഴിക്കുന്നിടത്തു ഭഗവാനെ പൂജിക്കാൻ പാടില്ല എന്നു ചിലർ പറഞ്ഞു അതനുസരിച്ചു കൃഷ്ണ വിഗ്രഹം എടുത്തു മാറ്റി. കുറച്ചു ദിവസം അങ്ങനെ പോയി. കുറച്ചു നാളുകൾക്കു ശേഷം എന്റെ ഒരു സ്റ്റുഡന്റ് birthday gift ആയി ഭഗവാന്റെ രൂപം സമ്മാനമായി തന്നു. ഇപ്പോൾ കണ്ണനെ മഞ്ഞ പട്ടു ഉടുപ്പിച്ചു അലങ്കരിച്ചു വിളക്ക് തെളിയിക്കുന്നു. അതിനു ശേഷം എനിക്ക് നാരായണീയം പഠിക്കാൻ ഭഗവാൻ അവസരം തന്നു 🙏🏻വീടിന്റെ പരിസരത്ത് മഞ്ചാടി ഇടയ്ക്കു ഇടയ്ക്കു കാണുന്നുണ്ട്. 17വർഷമായി താമസിക്കുന്ന വീട്ടിൽ ഒരു മഞ്ചാടി പോലും ഞാൻ കണ്ടിട്ടില്ല.. ഭഗവാൻ മായ കാണിക്കുന്നു..🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

തിരുമേനി പറഞ്ഞ കാര്യങ്ങൾ എല്ലാം വളരെ ശരിയാണ് എന്ന് മനസിലാക്കി തരുന്ന ഒരു സംഭവം നമുക്ക് കഴിഞ്ഞ 24-)0തീയതി ഉണ്ടായി. നമ്മൾ ഗുരുവായൂർ ക്ഷേത്ര ദർശനത്തിന് പോയിരുന്നു.10പേർ അടങ്ങുന്ന ഒരു സംഘം ആയിട്ടായിരുന്നു ഞങ്ങളുടെ യാത്ര. പക്ഷേ അമ്പലത്തിൽ കയറുവാൻ ഞങ്ങൾ 4പേർക്ക് സാധിച്ചില്ല.(ഞങ്ങളുടെ കൊച്ചിച്ചന്റെ മകളുടെ പ്രസവം സംഭവിച്ചു ). നമ്മൾ 4പേർക്ക് വളരെ സങ്കടം ആയി. അതിൽ 1-)0ക്ലാസ്സിൽ പഠിക്കുന്ന ചേച്ചിയുടെ മകൻ ബാക്കിയുള്ളവർ അമ്പലത്തിൽ പോയപ്പോൾ അവനും അവരുടെ പിറകെ ഓടി പോകണം എന്ന് പറഞ്ഞു. കൊച്ചു ഒരുപാട് കരഞ്ഞു. ആ ദിവസം കഴിഞ്ഞു ഞങ്ങൾ അടുത്ത ദിവസം തിരിച്ചു വരാൻ വേണ്ടി bag പാക്ക് ചെയ്യുന്ന സമയത്തു പെട്ടന്ന് തിരിഞ്ഞു നോക്കിയപ്പോൾ നമ്മുടെ റൂമിനു പുറത്തു ഒരു കൊച്ചു കുട്ടി വന്നു നിൽക്കുന്നു. എന്തൊരു തേജസ്‌ ആയിരുന്നു ആ കുട്ടി. (വയനാടൻ മഞ്ഞൾ മുറിച്ച നിറം , മഞ്ഞ കലർന്ന തലമുടി )ആ കുട്ടി നമ്മോട് എല്ലാപേരുമായി വളരെ പെട്ടന്ന് അടുത്തു. നമ്മൾ ആ കുട്ടി വന്നപ്പോൾ ഭഗവാന്റെ നിവേദ്യ പായസം കഴിക്കുകയായിരുന്നു. പക്ഷേ ഞങ്ങൾക്ക് ആർക്കും ആ കുട്ടിയോട് ആ പായസം വേണോ എന്ന് ചോദിക്കുവാൻ ഉള്ള മനസ് തോന്നിയില്ല. ആ കുട്ടി നമ്മുടെ കൂടെ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്ന കുഞ്ഞുങ്ങളോട് എല്ലാ പേരോടും അവിടെ കളിച്ചു. നമ്മൾ ആ കുട്ടിയോട് ചോദിച്ചു എവിടെ അച്ഛനും അമ്മയും ഏതു റൂമിൽ താമസിക്കുന്നു എന്ന് അപ്പോൾ കുട്ടി എതിർ വശത്തുള്ള ഒരു റൂം ചൂണ്ടി കാണിച്ചു പക്ഷേ ആ റൂം അടച്ചിട്ടുണ്ടായിരുന്നു. ആണോ എന്ന് ഞങ്ങൾ ആ കുട്ടിയോട് ചോദിച്ചു. പിന്നെ ആ കുട്ടി ഞങ്ങൾക്ക് എല്ലപേർക്കും ഓരോ മഞ്ഞ കടലാസും തന്നു. പക്ഷേ ആ കുട്ടി അധികം സംസാരിക്കില്ലായിരുന്നു. പക്ഷേ കുട്ടികളുമായി കുറച്ച് നേരം കളിച്ചു. പോകുവാൻ നേരം ഞാൻ ആണ് അവസാനം ഇറങ്ങിയത്. ഞാൻ യാത്ര പറയാം എന്ന് കരുതി ആ കുട്ടിയെ അവിടെ മുഴുവൻ നോക്കി പക്ഷേ കണ്ടില്ല. പിന്നെ ആ കുട്ടിയെ പറ്റി നമ്മൾ ആരും ഓർത്തില്ല. പക്ഷേ പിറ്റേന്ന് രാവിലെ മുതൽ മനസ്സിൽ ഓരോ തോന്നൽ ആ രണ്ടു ദിവസം ആ ഭാഗത്തു അങ്ങനെ ഒരു ഫാമിലി വന്നത് ഞങ്ങൾ കണ്ടില്ല. പിന്നെ ആ കുട്ടി വന്നപ്പോൾ നമ്മുടെ കുട്ടികൾ വീഡിയോ. ഫോട്ടോ ഇവയൊക്കെ എടുക്കുകയായിരുന്നു പക്ഷേ അതിലൊന്നും ആ കുട്ടി ഇല്ല. പായസം ആ കുട്ടിക്ക് കൊടുക്കാൻ തോന്നിയില്ല. ഞങ്ങളുടെ കുട്ടികൾ ആ കുട്ടി പറഞ്ഞ റൂമിൽ ആ കുട്ടിയെ നോക്കാൻ പോയിരുന്നു എന്ന് പറഞ്ഞു പക്ഷേ അവിടെ വിളിച്ചിട്ട് ആരും വന്നില്ല. പോകാൻ നേരം ആ കുട്ടി തന്ന കടലാസ് മഞ്ഞ നിറം. റൂം വീട്ടിറങ്ങിയപ്പോൾ ആ കുഞ്ഞിനെ ഒരു സ്ഥലത്തും കണ്ടില്ല എല്ലാം ഒരു ചോദ്യം ചിഹ്നം പോലെ മനസ്സിൽ എപ്പോഴും ഉയർന്നു വരുന്നു തിരുമേനി 🙏🙏🙏

എനിക്ക് 3 അനുഭവങ്ങൾ ഉണ്ട്.. ഒരു വളരെ കാലമായി ആഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നത് മുടങ്ങുന്നു.. ഒരു ദിവസം നട അടച്ചസമയം വെറുതെ ഗുരുവായൂർ ചെന്നപ്പോ ഞങ്ങൾടെ നാട്ടിൽ ഒരു ശാന്തി ഭഗവാന്റ പ്രസാദവുമായി നില്കുന്നു അത് ഞങ്ങൾക്ക് തന്നു 🙏.. പിന്നെ ഒരിക്കൽ കുറെ നേരം ക്കുവിൽ നിന്നിട്ടും ഭഗവാനെ കാണാതെ മടങ്ങേണ്ടി വന്ന പോൾ ഞാൻ കരഞ്ഞു അപ്പോ മുല്ലപ്പൂ വില്കുന്ന ഒരു പയ്യൻ എന്നെ ആശ്വാസപ്പിച്ചു ഒരുപാട് നല്ല കാര്യങ്ങൾ സംഭവിക്കാൻ വേണ്ടിയാണു എന്ന് എന്നോട് പറഞ്ഞു..ഇപ്പോ ഇതുകേട്ടപ്പോ കണ്ണ് നിറഞ്ഞു പോയി കൃഷ്ണ 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

I have same experience in sree padmanaba temple with thiuvambadi kannan multiple times as I was fortunate to visit kanna daily nowadays. It was my long wish to settle near by Gurvayoor or padmanaba temple few months for japa ,it happened this time when my Jupiter moved to 9th position after my long prayers . I used to feel the peak energy vibration flow as in kundlaini yoga on my body whenever I see krisha as explained . But I used to get message from him itself it's him only even I doubt him some times seeing such a way .and another surprise whatever the communication we feel from god as insight while praying there ,all were come true as he said ..hare krishna🙏🙏
