Adaptive headlight systems are long established in car design. Two-wheeled vehicle tuners have had to do without. This brand-new motorcycle/scooter adaptive headlight from J.W.Speaker provides a solution. Now all tuners of scooters and motorcycles can enjoy a wide beam of illumination that also adapts to the course of the road. Previous headlights have just lit-up the area ahead of the scooter or bike while you are busy negotiating a corner or bend, these clever 'adaptive' headlights register the cornering procedure and activate extra LED's to properly illuminate the inside of the bend in the road. Never again will you have to 'dive into the dark' while cornering at night!
The J.W. Speaker 8690 headllamp fits, with modifications, into some largeframe models. Here, a holder and an appropriate electrical connection must be produced.
The headlamp with adaptive cornering light (art. no. 57551721 and 57551741) requires constant direct current from a battery. An appropriately high charging current to charge the battery sufficiently can be generated with the original PX ignition using a rectifier diode.
