Taking my 2nd princess 🚢 this august. I think their food is excellent. Everything about Princess is awesome. Been on Carnival and NCL but I found them too loud, too much party. I enjoy the sedate experience on Princess. Thanks for getting me excited for august ☺️

hi Jamie I'm booked on this ship 2nd of sept . i cant wait . i have a deluxe balcony . do you know what the up to date rules are for embarking the ship. I'm also having problems with the medallion app to try to book restaurants in advance .does it only work near to the time of cruse. cheers Jamie. Sorry there are so many questions to ask. This is my first cruse and I'm a bit overwhelmed by it all

Hi - embarkation rules will depend on where you are in the world / where you are travelling to. Where are you boarding? Medallion app can be very glitchy - it didn’t work for us at all in advance of our cruise so we had to contact Princess over the phone and get them to sort it. Sorry, I know that’s frustrating. When is your cruise?

I called Princess 13 days before and a very nice Gizelle went through all the questions and entered answers for me. Told me I was good to go. I pick up THE THING at the port. Jab tends not to be a thing anymore and never should have been. I hope your friend has left well enough alone. Much to come out about that whole fiasco. Wish you all well and a great trip. Sounds amazing. I'm off to Alaska Crown Princess tomorrow. Not excited about this fob thing at all. Oh, embarking, yes, I asked for Vancouver, Canada, and was told times available and chose early. Idea seems to be to level out the crowds. IMOpinion Princess really knows how to treat people.

Hi Steven! There aren’t lounges for platinum or elite guests specifically (ie people subscribed to the loyalty programme with lots of cruises under their belts) but first thing in the evening this particular lounge at the aft you’re referring to offers canapés to elite and platinum guests for a limited time. It then reverts back to every guest having access afterwards

Question please: you mentioned availability of meal items by the Crown Grille (or any Specialty restaurant) being available as an upcharge to a Room Service dining request ? If so that is GREAT !!! It was a large - I had a drinks package so don’t think they were too concerned about the measure

Interesting about the rib. I had one in the grill on Jewel of the Seas and it was similar but the rest of the meal was very good and as a person who is 'a lot of space to be a waste of' it didnt matter much. I have had a couple of issues worth noting on other cruises. One was on P&O Ventura in its main dining room, I had a couple of lamb cutlets that looked like the ones in the reduced cabinet in a supermarket. Thin, gristle and fine for making a stock, awful as a main course, another time was in the Italian on board a Marella ship where the chicken caesar salad was a peasant not a Caesar! It was some Iceberg with sauce, a bit of Parmesan and that was it. In all cases I mention it quietly to the staff and asked for no fuss because there is plenty of food on board. Every time the head waitee came over grovelling and makinga scene despite my attempts to defuse the situation.
