You know, the more I hear about these men, the more I fall in love with them. How lucky are we that we get a chance to see and hear about such amazing people in a world that seems to be going to to Hell in a handbasket. It's no wonder that SPN has gone on as long as it has. How can it not, with this cast and crew, with J2 at it's helm. Ashley Welch IKR! I love them an incredible amount and trust me, I went to my first convention last month and thought I'd be fine. They're just people too...right? Wrong. They're flipping amazing people and you actually get to stand next to them with your brain fully processing the fact they are 100% real. I was seriously praying that I wouldn't cry in front of them. I was shaking so hard and holding back tears when I went to get Jared's autograph and he could obviously see what I mess I was and you know he did? He just smiled the kindest and warmest smile and starting talking to me (which is good because I totally couldn't speak very well right then) and asked me simple questions like where I was from, and if I was enjoying the convention and such. And by the time those amazing 20ish seconds were up, I realized he'd been holding my hand till I stopped shaking. I know they already know we love them and we know they love us, but before I walked away, I had to say "I love you" to him and he stopped what he was doing (which was moving on the next person) and looked me in the eyes and said, "I love you back." These men. Jensen showed his love in his own way. He's not as outgoing as Jared is, but he wrote me a short encouraging message along with his autograph, (because they knew by what I had them do for my photo op that I'd had my share of struggles). Jensen didn't verbally tell me he loved me back in person, but in his actions and eyes(you either know exactly what he's thinking or you'll never know!), he certainly did. And I'm not at all bragging about how great my experience was, but they weren't treating me special, they were treating EVERYONE special. ❤️❤️ I love these men!! There aren't words.

It sounds like you had an amazing experience. I've heard/read tons of people who have the exact same experience. They all have said they felt loved, respected and there was no doubt in anyone's mind that Jared and Jensen acknowledged each and everyone of them as individuals, not just another body in a line of bodies. I am supposed to go to my first (and probably only) convention in Nov. I wasn't able to get an autograph session or photo op, but i'll be fine just sharing space with them. All I want from them is to be officially welcomed into the family by Jared, like he does at every convention. I wouldn't mind getting to see Jensen sing either. If I get either of those things, I'll consider the con a success. Besides, I'm not sure how I'd handle anything more than that. I'm too old to fangirl, but I think I would and make an everlasting fool of myself in the process.

Ashley Welch Absolutely! You can certainly put my name beside having that type of experience. I'm so exited for you! I know you'll definitely have an amazing experience to share after your con. Jensen didn't sing at the Saturday Night Special in Phoenix last month, but he did sing a little with Rob when they were leaving their afternoon panel. (Trust me, one of my goals was to hear him sing in person too!) I understand not being able to get the autographs or photos (the prices are insane), but just to let you know, Jared has admitted that when he met Eddie Vedder (Pearl Jam), he turned white, was sweating and shaking and accidentally hurt Gen's hand by squeezing it too hard. I'd say he was definitely fanboying and making a fool of himself. Danneel (Jensen's wife) certainly thought so... So know that in the case you ever do get closer interaction with them and fangirl, they completely understand and don't think less of you.

I heard that story. It was kinda funny hearing someone as famous as Jared fanboying, but like you said, they are human just like us, live human lives just like us, and obviously have people that they look up to, just like us. But, I imagine it's hard to remember that when you're in their presence. Funny thought that I've had, I've only ever seen them on a screen. Tablet, TV, whatever, they've always been essentially pixels, which, subconsciously or not, gives a bit of seperation. How did you react the first time you saw them in person, and you got that realization they were actual people?. Not necessarily autographs, unless that was the first time you saw them people (which would have been one heck of a first in person exposure, holy crap). Walking through the hall, or on stage, whatever. Did it throw you at all?

Ashley Welch Ashley Welch Completely! I'd watched probably more than my fair share of con panels (as I feel like you probably have too!) and thought I'd be fine. Fully prepared. It won't be too different from what I'd experienced through KZbin and such. But you're right, they were pixels on a screen then. It really hit me Friday morning when Rob and Rich came out to welcome us and you just realize, ".....They're actually standing in front of me right now. I'm not in my living room, but I'm actually at a Supernatural convention. These people I've watched for so long - real. Everything I know about them - fact. And I'm literally in the same room as them, listening and watching them in person...!" Then I thought I'd be fine, because I'd acknowledged that these people were real and I was getting to interact with them. But then Saturday came = Misha. I legit did a double take because I was at the mic to ask R2M a question and then someone else walked on stage and the crowd went wild. I was trying to puzzle out who was trying to trip Rich, and my brain went, "Oh, it's Misha. .... OH MY GOSH MISHA COLLINS IS STANDING 15 FEET AWAY FROM ME!!!!!" And to say the least, I started screaming like everyone else. The thing is for me, I'm don't get excited or nervous because they're famous. That doesn't matter to me. What does matters is that I'm acknowledging that these people I admire and look up to because of who they are (Good people who always try to do to the right thing while caring about, encouraging, helping, and bringing smiles to others' faces.) are very real and you get to see them in person. When Jensen and Jared first walked onto the stage I was in staring at them in denial for a couple of seconds. It was almost like I couldn't grasp the reality that these amazing human beings and all the good things we know about them and what they do, are very very real. Jensen and Jared's panel felt so different then the rest too. They had this presence about them where they made you relaxed and comfortable and something just...like they're family who truly love you and are happy to see you. And then I was so excited and happy that I screamed so much I kid you not I lost my voice for two weeks... Lesson learned, lol. I had an adrenaline rush after meeting them for a whole 24hrs. So yeah, best weekend ever! It randomly hits me that I've meet such amazing people and I'm just so happy for the next ten minutes, you know? Also, no screen or art of any kind can compare to how beautiful they are in person. You wouldn't think they could get any prettier, but they do. Anyways, it was a great feeling that I can't wait for you to experience as well!

Kelly Lovato Hey! Yeah, I recognize you! I went to PhxCon in 2017, but that was the last one Creation said they were gonna hold there, unfortunately. I live in North Carolina actually, and mostly I go to cons within a few states from here. I've been to CharCon 2018, and NashCon 2019. If you haven't been to a con yet, I really recommend it!! I got addicted to them and they are the best experience ever. If you look up Creation Entertainment, you can check where the SPNCons are going to be. I know they're going to Vegas this weekend, they're going to Jacksonville, FL in Dec and Austin, TX sometime this year too. I hope that helps and that you get to go to one soon. :)

I was just in North Carolina in December, my dad and dad's family are all from Raleigh and Greensboro and I was actually thinking about moving back there because there is absolutely nothing in Arizona City except dirt! And I used to live in Chapel Hill. I love N.C., whereabouts are you from? If u dont want to say on here I understand, hmmm...wish there was a way I could give you my number so we could talk... we have a few things in common! Especially our love and affection for SPN and all our boys! And especially now that it's ending! I can't even believe that announcement they made! I feel a little confused about it and I was wondering how other people I've talked to feel about it too. I just don't know anybody in real life who is into it as much as I am so I really don't have anybody to talk to IRL about it that gets it ... it seems like Supernatural attracts a certain type of individual, ones that have dealt with or are currently dealing with anxiety / depression so I think that the fact that the show is ending scares people, that they're not going to have that Lifeline anymore or that anchor to hold on to to keep them centered and grounded. And I don't want to tell people I'm sad because of a TV show ending because they just won't get it...Anyways, enough Dr. Phil, lol...Yes, I saw they're going to be in Vegas this weekend and I'm like well maybe they'll stop at this gas station off the freeway and I'll get to see them!
