Please incase your extension sockets that are IP rated as I don't want to see you getting electrocuted 🤦🏼‍♂️ If any water gets in those open sockets then I don't really need to say what's going to happen. We're having a lot of rain and will continue to do so by the looks of it. Just be safe please as I want to see more vids from you lol. 14:59 That marking usually means it’s a second hand part from a Breakers/Scrapyard. Usually a sign the previous people tried to get the misfire fixed. Get some New Coils & Plugs and I reckon it’ll be good.👍

I’ve been a mechanic for 15 years and i have seen some brands over the years where they have missfired but don’t show codes for coils . And it’s turnt out to being coils . For price of them imo stick 4x new coils in a new set of plugs and see how it runs

Watch the live data on misfire counter and you'll see which one is misfiring, as the previous person said sometimes doesn't throw a code

I don't think your misfire issue is coil pack or plug related mate. As you said you would usually get a fault code which would either relate to a specific cylinder in which case it would be coil, plug, injector, compression or wiring on said cylinder. What you would do then is swap 2 coils and see if the fault swaps. Then you'd swap 2 plugs and see if it moves. Then you'd listen to the injector clicking ( place a screw driver on the injectors and use it like a stethoscope). Then if that didn't get answers you'd compression test. Then you'd check voltages at injector and coil connectors. If your code was for multiple cylinders or randomly moved between cylinders without swapping components Then it would be related to something that controls fuel/air (MAF or MAP or O2 sensor) timing (CAS, PTU), or temperature related I.e. air/fuel ratio and timing are adjusted for a cold start based on readings from coolant temp sensor. This is a possibility. But you'd expect a code. However here's the thing, the turbo bypass valve diverts air back into the intake after the MAF sensor like a blow off valve, but that vents to atmosphere instead. So because the MAF has read the amount of air entering, the ECU knows how much fuel to add to that amount of air. But the ECU is also expecting the amount of air the turbo bypass valve is returning so compensates for this. But because the turbo bypass valve is faulty its going to get the air / fuel mixture wrong which will cause random misfires. Replace / fix the turbo bypass valve first, I'd say that's the cause of your misfire.

I reckon ur right. MAF sensor in a modern car with a misfire, is like a bad earth in a normal car. In a normal car, electrical gremlins are normally earth related (not always, but yanno what I mean.) in Modern cars, if u got a misfire, n it’s not coils or plugs, next stop MAF. It might just need a clean. Good luck

Agreed. Was my 1st thought when he knew the turbo bypass was faulty but chose not to replace it. Dont waste time looking for another fault until you fix the known fault 1st. You may be surprised and it cures your misfire. Imo it will.

I just watched the last part of the video, and it reminded me of when I recently went through the process of getting my HGV license. Unfortunately, due to a slip-up related to my diabetes, I’m now stuck waiting another 10 months to redo the entire process. That means I have to start from scratch - the D2 and D4 forms, the medical, the optician’s eyesight approval, and the diabetic examination - all because of one mistake, thank you for the encouraging words. By the way, you should consider building a garage or workshop onto the house!

Just a quick thing to say I currently own a mazda 3 mps, you'll know this platform, but it has a misfire similar to this in cylinder 1 and it's either a burnt or bent valve, so beware of something more behind the misfire. Keep this whole series up Jesse! Avid follower of this series and looking out for your uploads on it! Well in lad 💪 Quick edit, if coil and plugs font work get a hold of a bore scope to get a look at that cylinder, peace!

If I was you buddy I would put a length of guttering across were the two gazebos meet to catch the rain .use cable ties to secure it to the roof frame. Even a down pipe connected to the guttering and ran into a drain would keep it dryer inside. Otherwise it's going to be wet inside. That's what we used to do when we went racing and hadn't got a garage..😊😊

Mechanic here, Engine light is on because it’s of the other issues 2, coil pack can throw up a temporary code wile misfire and then go straight off again, without logging. Never rely on engine codes, if it was me personally, I’d change out all the coils and plugs and go from there.

I would honestly give it a compression test. Before you go down the change loads of parts. Also carbon can reduce the space in the inlet port and restrict the flow of air causing a misfire.
