Ja’s game is so smooth man, he reminds me of those guys at the gym that just have that finesse but also surprisingly strong for a guy of that stature. Not to mention he has very good passing ability and basketball IQ, he’s an All Star already in my mind, this kid is gonna be the next big thing, believe it.

It’s really difficult being a small guard in the NBA especially guys like Ja Morant who is only 6’2 180lbs and who is primarily a slasher, being a small guard challenging players at the rim who are a foot taller and outweigh you by 100lbs, you do take a beating, and you are prone to getting injures. That’s why I really hope Ja stays healthy and that beating hopefully doesn’t wear on him too soon.

@@DC180PP yeah exactly right it’s the way small guards have to play, in some situations you have to be able to avoid taking a beating, sadly some examples of small guards getting worn down from this are Derrick Rose, Kemba Walker, Isaiah Thomas, even Kyrie Irving is beginning to run into quite a bit of injury problems as he is now later in his career.

Ja would be a MVP candidate every year if he played in the 2000s. And he'll be a perennial All Star but the talent level is so deep at PG idk if he'll stand out enough to be a legit MVP candidate unless he goes to a bigger market and leads them as a top 3 seed.

The defense on Morant was decent in the 1 and mainly in the 2 quarter, and everyone else besides him was shooting terribly, but yeah Lakers will be Lakers, a couple of turnovers, failed in recognize that Morant was hot from three letting him open, the defense fell down with the rythm that Morant made, and his team started to make some FG, this is lack of defense, grizzlies could handle lakers cause Morant was hitting three and they did a good job defending everyone(with exception of lebron, but no one could stop him)

If you watched the game instead of stats you would know as a team they shot around 35% and 15% from three in the first half. It’s hard to rack up assists when you’re the only one that can score a bucket. He could’ve easily had around 7 or 8 if they made wide open shots. Swear y’all don’t know ball.
