Ja Morant loves levitation. The longer he lingers in the air, the more likely defenders are to make mistakes. Ja is one of the more ferocious finishers in the NBA today. He’s got handles for days and can hang in the air for just as long. Whether it’s force or finesse, he can finish with the best of them. That and his in-air artistry that make him fearsome around the rim.
All one can do is marvel at Morant's magic as he contorts himself into whatever angle is required to make defenders suffer. He's like Luke in a way, a Sky Walker who seemingly has no limit to how high he can go.
Per CTG, Ja shot 66% at the rim (302/455 shots within 4 feet of the basket). Besides Luka Doncic, Kyle Lowry, and Monte Morris, no other player at the point had better efficiency than Morant around the basket.
