One of the greatest songs of all time and one of the greatest verses of all time. Charlie's pen game was pure and the way she conveyed her words and image was so beautifully raw. I wish I could go back to those days when our women was coming with this energy. She really embodied the term "ride or die" and expressed it perfectly. Industry politics was the issue and us real ones know that. Miss your presence in this game, big sis. 😔

Charli never got a chance to release an album. Her first and only album "Cold As Ice" was only released as a promo at the time. It never got a proper release. Then she was supposed to release an album when she was on "Murder Inc." but she never got the chance because that's when Murder Inc. was going through legal issues. I think all of that is why she's not more well known. She has the talent, swag and style. She should have been bigger. Too bad she's had so many label issues over the years.

Yes! That is such a brilliant analysis. Then you see Beyonce & Jay Z do a Similar Video ironically called Bonnie & Clyde. Wasn't' 2000-2002 such an amazing time in Music. Dick Clark did the "Last" American Bandstand TV Special and even he knew that a "New" Era as beginning. Popstars became the First Musical Reality Show that a actually began in 1998 when Five Little Girls talked about how in New Zealand they never had a Girl Band popular like The Spice Girls. If those Five Little Girls had patened their idea they would have been set for life considering that there where 40 Versions all over the world. Across The Ocean in 2002 Five Young Ladies became Girls Aloud the most successful Group to come out of reality TV. Also if you look carefully there are a lot of similarities. Charlie goes to Jail, Lady Gaga goes to Jail in The Telephone Video with Beyonce, Charlie gets Bailed Out, as does Lady Gaga. Sadly enough Charlie shows how a Woman goes to Jail for her "Man" that L'il Kim, Foxy Brown and Da Brat also did.

I would say 2000-2002 he was definitely as big as 50 cent as "that guy" but his record sales wernt as good because the game was full of great albums from other artists but he still done well. 50 was out on his own in 2003 so that's how he managed some 8million sales on first album
