Great job Mr Ikenna, pls why is the controller charging a 12v battery at 30v thereby reducing the current going into the batteries ? Isn't the controller supposed to size up the voltage to match the battery voltage rating? (15v preferably) Pls clarify sir. Tx
@charlestresnicky114419 күн бұрын
Greetings, the charger will regulate to charge the battery connected. The battery could be 12 or 24v on most of these. The charge controllers usually can go up to 100v solar panel input. The more power you get the better, the bigger the panel the more you get while its cloudy, hence taking advantage of the sun as much possible.

sir , i have a few quick questions :- ur response shall be appreciated ...1- ja panel and canadian panels are p.type or n.type. ? 2- i use solar sytem but while using the system when i turn on ac or water motor or even a refrigerator then the inverter immediately trips and stops working specifically (when i have disconnected the grid electricity from the inverter) because of the starting torque current of these appliances , so what i want to know from u is that is there a way to overcome this issue of the starting current torque ?
@smilinsunsmilinsun805627 күн бұрын
What is happening looks like your inverter is undersized for the task you are giving it. there is no information on your inverter capacity.
@willowsprings163427 күн бұрын
@@smilinsunsmilinsun8056no sir , my inverter is not at all underpowered , infact i have solar panels totalling 3 kw and the inverter is actually 6kw so as such there is no issue of compatibility or lesser power of inverter...
@user-dl7dd2vt3t25 күн бұрын
The overload protection is what is triggering the inverter to go off. Try upgrading the capacity of the inverter or put off all loads and then put on the water motor to see if the problem perists.
@smilinsunsmilinsun805624 күн бұрын
@@user-dl7dd2vt3t Thanks for that further details , The inverter is undersized kindly be careful about the products you buy.

Mine does similar thing, though not all the time. It trips off and says short circuit, and comes back ON after 2secs, but just on the socket where my TV, Home Theatre, Laptop, DSTV etc. The reason was because My AC socket and the TV socket share the same Neutral wire (Bad wiring by those who wired the apartment). So what I did was to connect all the appliances on the TV socket to a UPS first and plug the UPS to the TV socket. That way it stopped.

Nice work sir. I have been looking for this type of rig, which can help sanitize Nigerian solar market. I suggest you change your testing stand positioning. These solar panrls will produce more power if you position their surfaces perpendicular to the sun rays.
