Sangeeth-sangeetham, Gaana-gaanam, Nidra-nidra, Swapn-swapnam, Sundar - sundaram, Bhaag-bhaagam, Thidhi - thiyathi, Aadar-aadaram, Sathru - sathru, Mithr-mithram, Nadhi -nadhi, (river) Van - vanam, Kaanan-kaananam, Nisa-nisa, Raath-raathri, Prem-premam, Nasht-nashtam, Varn - varnam, Swaagath-swaagatham, Prabhaath - prabhaatham, Soorya - sooryan, Chandr-chandran, Nakshathr-nakshathram, Pushp-pushpam, Pranaam - pranaamam. There are many many more such word. This similarity makes it easy to learn these two languages.

His Hindi songs, composed by Ravindra Jain Ji, look simple initially. But if you try to sing you will realize the nuances that you can't reach at all. Even a 60% accurate reproduction is great, I'd say. I have listened to many reality show contestants trying to sing Yesudas songs. They were nowhere near the original. Still judges would encourage them :-)

When raveendran master composed his first song for a film (Yesudas helped him to get the opportunity), he composed a song (thaarake mizhiyithalil) with an extremely base portion so that, almost all people would find it extremely difficult to even sing properly. Same thing happened with 'harimuraleeravam'. He composed it to shut up the people who were saying that yesudas had become old and could not control his breath anymore.
