I think he had his own style. His contribution of bring ghazals to a common man is unforgettable. Nobody could do it. That’s because of his simple tunes. Mind you simple is difficult and difficult is easy as every seasoned person will say. I think he is the greatest of all. Since he had it all simplicity and performance both.

Jagjit’s contribution towards promotion of Urdu ghazal is tremendous. Mehdi Hasan ruled as the King but showed the way forward to a lot of singers. Hariharan is another living example of someone who started off following Mehdi Saheb and then allowed his own creative style to show him the way.

Khatir is the poet. Bazi e dil is the bet of love Maat is defeat.. I.e., khatir the poet said that in this bet of love, it's better to loose the battle against ur loved one..either u loose or she wins, it's the same for u..
