In d same year 1999, AB's 'Suryavansham' in a double role failed miserably. In 1990, RK's 'Swarg' was a hit while AB's 'Agneepath' in d same year was a flop. The audience wanted young actors, like Amir,Salman, and Shahrukh to take over, exactly d same way the audience was waiting a young actor to take over from Dilip,Dev and Raj in d late 60s which Rajesh Khanna was able to do from 1966 to 1990.

Rishi Kapoor bad director of Aa Ab laut chale would have been directed by any other director under RK Banner it could be Hit 1st & Original Superstar Rajesh Khanna ji had proved as character roles before this film with Rishi Kapoor in Soutela Bhai but Rishi Kapoor messed Aa Ab Laut Chale 1999 year was appreciated family films
