Jabbawockeez perform "The Stranger: A Word From the Wise" at the Monsters of Hip Hop Show LA 2008 at the El Portal Theatre in NOHO on 8/15/08. The performance was a dedication to a member of their crew, the late Gary Kendell.

Phi's solo during "missing you" is unreal, his movement is different from the other guys, it's like he's moving in slow motion, but not, because he still hits every beat. I don't know how to describe it, it's like he's moving in water or something. It's so hypnotizing.

ive realized what makes the wockeez so great. if youo ever compare crew's roouotines you find that the other crews have more compicated mooves and more intricate ruotines, that is their downfall, the jabbaz routine make it so that each part is easy to folow so we appreciate the whole thing and aren't disctracted by another part on the the stage. another is the marionette effect, that we look at the whole gruop and not just one individual.clean executioon of a cean routine realy marks the spot
@WxShAoRaNxW15 жыл бұрын
i jsut saw them here a while ago hahahaha they are in trinoma ayala mall :) they are so damn great all people are actually pushing just to see them dance wild!! some are in the top of the table and some are going up to the scalator just to see the amphitheater all of their cams are being brought out and videoing like crazy!! wahahhahaha its so great and i hate it cause people are pushing me!!

pretty sure that solo was phil. he does kneel, but it's not the same move that phi likes to do. when phi kneels, he adds a smooth spin to it. in this one, phil only does a step. also, phil has better body control and can hit beats cleaner than phi (chest pumps, too). also, after his solo and he moves over the the left side of the group, he's clearly shorter than everyone else. kevin is actually pretty short himself which is why you don't see a big height discrepancy btwn the 2.
@88yoh15 жыл бұрын
so love the jabbas. who do u think dd that solo at 4:31? is it Phi? or Phil? if u check the move @ 4:56-57, its the same kneeling move at the step up 2 dance @ the 2:54-2:55 & i think that was Phi. & if u watch closely, Phi is @ the same height as kev when they meet here at 4:27 (Phil I think is the smallest among the jabbas, while kev & phi are 1 of the tallest)... but.. those chest pumps.. its more kind of Phil... i really dunno.. if any1 knows the lineup at this dance.. tell me!

From beginning to end, they had the sickest choreo and musicality! They are the best for a reason.
@Jammydodger3815 жыл бұрын
People see the jabbawockeez differently, like some people think sk8bording looks awsome some people think blading looks awsome, these guys may not brake dance too much but there really good body poppers :D , when they first made the group they did actually do alot of break dancing but they tend to focus on the sound of the songs they dance too

Oh Come on... JBWKZ Dont care how much you look at them... there still amazing... What about the other guys from ABDC... if you watch it like 4 times then its ok..... its over... but JWBKZ never get bored with it... I hope they come to Holland... if they do... il just take VIP places and come to them...

Hmm... U knw jess3a3 u could've been mature and sensible..dont understand why you would add a racial remark to that comment. Jabbawockeez made a name of themselves...and to be honest... I never heared of diversity till about a month ago....where as I've heared of jabbawockeez for a long time now..... and no need for the racism...makes u sound really low.

it kinda bothers me when people say "FILIPINOS RULE" whenever they see the jabbawockeez. the truth is they aren't all filipino; i actually think that only half, if not fewer, of them are filipino. kevin brewer and gary kendall (RIP) are black. phi is vietnamese. ben is korean. i'm pretty sure eddie is latino.
@hottie124815 жыл бұрын
There routine wasn't really that good...It was AWESOME!!! I cant believe ppl can dance that well =)!!! That routine kept me so entertained!! They seriously are one of the best crew i've seen, not the best but definate in my top 5!! I wish one of the members of the crew can teach me some steps, forreal that was soo good!!

song names... starting from beginning fingerbangerz - noize fingerbangerz - jabba ngo (at 2:03) 2Pac - letter to my unborn child (at 2:24) diana ross - missing you(at 4:22) special note on the last song... if u dl the original song, it's different. the one they use on this video is a special mix made by... i think, fingerbangerz.
@BBoyPure16 жыл бұрын
yea i mean in terms of popping and roboting(not sure if its the right word) and working together, JabbaWockeeZ haf that pretty much covered lols. Expression's marionette is nothing compared to Jabba's artistic work. Yeah Expression's is artistic, but they never stray too much from their bboying. Jabbawockeez and Expression, never compare them again.
@HikeFishRepeat16 жыл бұрын
There is nothing to discus or talk about, Jabbawockeez are the best dance crew in the world. Man can you believe how complicated we humans really are!?...I mean, my dog can sit still and stare for hours on robots from Japan showing up on my TV. Thats just what I am doing when I am seeing Jabbawockeez. Sitting here and stareing for hours on some freaki'n good dancers for hours xD
@xplosyv16 жыл бұрын
i already knew the names but you can also find them on the other posting of this video...the first one is "2Pac - Letter 2 M Unborn Child"...the second one is Diana Ross "missing you" but of course they have been remixed hope i helped...i have often wondered about songs jabba has danced to and luckily folks post up the songs so i can find them...be easy
@chr0nix12316 жыл бұрын
well of course he comes back in, its just u cant really pinpoint exactly where, *well thats for me since he doesn't really do any b-boy after that and sticks with the choreography, It is definetly hard to spot rainen when he's in the choreo, but that just shows how versatile he is .. with his poppin/ urban freestyle and with his b-boying.

@arsh5306: jabbawockeez are NOT the best dance crew in the world. They might be one of the best showcase crews, but groups like the UKs pink mafia and Flawless; koreas monster woo family, and the Netherlands robot boys among thousands of other undiscovered dance groups rep hard
@88yoh15 жыл бұрын
wel, if u read our early comments, (me and rarr).. we believe it's phil tayag. Phi is more fluid type of movement, while phil likes to pop and can hit beats exactly... actually, u can check other performances of jabbas and u can see each jaba has really a unique style...
@88yoh15 жыл бұрын
woah.. thanks for the info dude.. thanks for the info dude... how about the solo in the automatic response show? the guy in the middle performing during the clubbed to death theme? at about the 4:55 mark? that's phi right? that knee move you're talking about?
@rarrbear15 жыл бұрын
also, if you want to another shot of phi doing his spinning knee (sounds like a kung fu move, LOL) look up his solo from an older monsters of hip hop where a few of the jabbas performed w/out their masks. phi has always been more fluid in his moves compared to phil.
