im dealing with it its not ideal, what really bothers me is they made singular demo units of all their iphone 16 cases but for 15 so they can market it without the cut out. seems like batch and switch marketing. in photos where they dont use iphone 15(as noted in corner) they make sure to hold it over the spot to hide it. so clearly they dont like cut out either since they have to go through so much effort to hide it.

I been using OTTERBOX for the past 3 models (iPhone 14, 15 & 16 Pro Max), same model every year. I ordered in the AppStore and mine is transparent with the new button covered. I didn’t like any of the models he showed in the video, my is nicer looking.

i have no problem with cutout and don't see why it's an issue. have used defenders in the past and now using the commuter. peace of mind protection for an expensive device.

I really dont like the camera control cutout, they should have had something covering it that could be opened and closed or something.

Could you imagine how simply ridiculous that would be to have the camera control covered when the moment arises you’re gonna fumble around with a flap to get control of the button? I think most people will never own one of these cases and will simply just bitch about them because that’s what society does.

The way the cut-out for the camera control button is why I won't get these cases. Hopefully, Otterbox will resolve with newer cases a few months from now that will have the camera control button on the case itself.

I have one of the defender pro cases and the cutout is a massive letdown. It is gigantic. I’d rather just get an apple silicone case even if it offers little protection.

that huge cutout is a huge faded chrome for that part of your phone just waiting to happen ill go with covered/complete cover cases i find the "new" camera button useless anyway

sadly the other choices are worse including apple cases. sure apple ones cover that part but leave the bottom of phone exposed which is worse.

There are better options in the rugged department. Spigen and Tech 21 to name two. Smartish and ESR are two more

Cactus Leather is typically 65-70% polyurethane combined with 30-35% cactus fibers from pulp. It’s essentially a plastic material with some natural fibers mixed in.

I loved the Otterboxes a long time, had it on my iPhone 10 and since 3 years on my 13 with the Fre series cause of its massive protection with two shelfs. Ok the new 16 has a better water protection an it is may difficult to design a two shelfs box. But the actual models here are i.m.p.o.v. behind competitors like e.g. rhinoshield.

I got the symmetry 16 pro max and premium glass screen protector. Will it fit good with case assuming it’s meant to since off the site. But how’s touch sensitivity. Good and all?

always had the defender that has the inner plastic case and the outer rubberskin...just got 16promax and same case and not a fan of the cutout...

Defender XT iPhone 16 pro is the worst case Otter box has put out. The case camera cut out is horrible. And you have to put the phone in the holster upside down.

I just hate these huge camera cut outs, my ring finger always rest on that part and I just don't like my phone get scratches, that's why I forced to use apple's silicon case 'which I don't like either'. I always like apple's leather cases and I don't know why they discontinued them.

No camera button capacitive layer = automatic no purchase from me. It's an eyesore and the lint and dust or you have it that collects to the borders will scratch up the frame eventually, it's either apple's originals rn for me or whatever else may come out in the future, hopefully at a cheaper price

Otterbox did a shitty job by making these cases. A huge cutout on capture area. Other brands cover thie captyre area.

Nope…the cutout is so dumb and lazy. Why not design a case with a proper cover for the new button? Having it unprotected defeats the purpose of having a phone case.
