In China, education is a matter of prime importance for the government and for families, and without it it would be impossible to understand the economic development of the country. The Chinese education system is a long-term career aimed at passing the exams that culminates with the selectivity or gaokao (高考). During the final years of preparation for this exam, students spend about twice as many hours a week as they do in some developed countries. This level of dedication is achieved through some measures of discipline that students gradually assimilate until they become part of their routine. In this kind of sociological vlog or small documentary, Lele explains how a day of study was as a teenager and we will tell you about the lights and shadows of education in China.
