Unfortunately we live in a world where people don't want to see others go far. So they hate and pass negative vibes unto others and hope to put them down. This boy is 11 playing an instrument beautifully and expressing his what's within his soul. Then there goes someone disliking what he does. Search another song and send your negative vibes else where. God bless this boy and bless him richly

@classicalteacher8 жыл бұрын
Sorry, David. There is no such thing as "Naturals" or "born to play music(ians)." That kid is good because he had a great family that supported him. He's good because he put in hours of practice. He is a product of his environment, not genetics. I understand your comments positive intent, but it diminishes the kids efforts.
@David-cr3pt8 жыл бұрын
Jon Visser I never said that he didn't put a lot of time and effort in, he most definitely has!But I disagree with you. To be that good at that young of an age, you have to have some natural ability to play music! You can't just pick an instrument up and expect to be that good! It doesn't matter how many hours you poor into it, some people just have it, and the majority of musicians don't. That's what separates the virtuoso's from the mediocre.
@classicalteacher8 жыл бұрын

@windsofmarchjourneyperrytr28237 жыл бұрын
David You can't pick up ANY instrument and hit it right away. BUT you CAN work at it. I do some keys, voice and drums. I'm told drums is my most natural instrument by a guy playing drums 50 years. But I've STILL had to play 10 years, tho! Didn't just wake up and be halfway decent, lol. I'm not bad at keyboards. They're still percussive instruments to my mind, tho. And I like whacking on things.

@onetimeonthegoodfoot9 жыл бұрын
bon chana Well, that came out of left field. Asians certainly do not have a corner on mastery of instruments. If you call "mastery" technical proficiency, yes, a lot of Asian kids are tiger parented to a high level of a certain sterile technical proficiency. But they're not musicians. No reason an Asian kid can't be a great musician, of course, but the diligent drill of mechanics doesn't make you one.

Man all you nay sayers are full of crap. He is 11 yo, of course he is going to incorporate licks of his idols and influences into his current plying. He is still learning; not how to play the bass because he can do that, but how to learn to be him. That takes years. Including the styles of his idols and then figuring out what he likes and what he feels, intertwining that with what he has learnt will help him develop his own signature. So shut the hell up, enjoy the music and celebrate that an 11yo can play so good with passion and feel, and then follow his career and watch him become the Tony Royster Jnr of the bass.

There are no words sufficient to describe this kind of talent-timing-creativity-musical ear-heft-chops at 11. None. I just wasted your time trying to verbalize it.

Ashlee Juno , isn't that the question though? Some label must have signed him. They were, as a group also, as good as anybody in that genre [to my ears, at least] every musical interpretation of soft /"easy listening" jazz is It's own of course, yet after he, the bassist, warmed up... got grooved in, it was the same flow, quality level, tempo, continuity of ANY soft jazz I've enjoyed, /and experienced. Used to constantly have on an easy listening radio station , when I could tune in to one, that was no harsher on the ears than any track I heard played on that station's broadcasting. Interesting, there's no conventional look , at least much less of one, in that genre that was kind educational actually, almost like a SESAME STREET for jazz aficionados episode. Nice.

I tried to play bass once. Notes have to be played boldly. If you hit a bad note, the whole world will hear it. That's why this wus switched to guitar (-:
