If you paid $250 for one box and they contain 142 cards between the three rack packs, some of which are pretty good (ex: those 83 Topps Rookies and of course the Henderson rookie) and you also get a bunch of Hall of Famers it's not such a bad deal. Always enjoy these breaks.

That's the best vintage baseball card mix box I've ever seen. Condition was mint, almost all hall of famers and superstars. Ricky Henderson card always a great pull. Thanks again Jabs

For some reason Topps always used to leave retiring stars out of their sets, in 1984 they left Yastrzemski and Bench out, but Fleer and Donruss issues cards for them.

The greatest thing about the junk wax eras, of which there were a few, is the excitement of catching those 1 or 2 cards that got through the abyss with value. The hits just feel better because its not a hopeful rookie card you are guessing gains value, its literally just hunting a few specific cards. Also the joy of just opening packs you spent every extra dollar on as a kid. Those memories have no dollar amount.

Considering what you get in a normal box full of “cup of coffee” guys and average players, I think these are great. Still a gamble but all great players (minus the oddball Spike)
