This is a very wholesome family movie, every character in the movie was paid heed to, just like you too have mentioned, there is no character in the movie that felt useless, even miss Chandni's character played by Sushmita Sen is beautifully written, her character gives Ram's story in college more flesh and makes it more entertaining, just imagine without her Ram would only either be trying to protect Sanju or reconcile with his brother which would get monotonous after a point of time but romance and the struggle to get it always gives every stories the touch of magic making it beautiful and giving much required comic relief. And yeah I agree, they didn't leave any character midway, they completed every arch. This is a really fun movie, and it was a delight to watch at the theatres when it had released in 2004, it's easy to criticize it today sitting in 2025 after 21 years of it's release, some people say the action is outdated, some make fun of certain sequences, like Sushmita dressing up in a oh so sexy manner as college a teacher but wouldn't complain about scientists being potrayed as nerds on "Big Bang Theory" which is a big time stereotype. Some even wrongly criticize the last scene as in why did Raghvan not throw away the jacket, at the end to save himself, "guys he was wearing the grenades on a belt tied to his chest, it wasn't fastened to his jacket, look properly, " and yeah Zayed Khan getting hold of an army chopper.....well although he was in love with an army man's daughter but I understand and yeah it's unrealistic and stretched way too much, but give it a rest guys it's a popcorn movie, made in 2004, cut them some slack and give them some credit for making such a wholesome movie, which became a superhit. Anyway loved your discussion, would love to see Brendon along with you folks too next time, and Jaby Achara my dear, I know you guys are way too busy now doing other stuff, you are big time KZbinrs I know that but this channel belongs to you guys, grand old subscribers like myself started watching with you folks, so try to be in front of the camera more, everyone is great and everyone is needed, and I ain't just saying that for the sake of saying it, I like each and every one of them, but if you stop reacting along with them slowly people might loose interest in watching you folks react and your name will just be technically with this channel, but you will cease to be a part of it's heart and soul, just a mild reminder. You know what, at first it was a reaction and review channel , and yeah it still is. But now it became more of a business when you hire 10-20 people to do that reaction and review. Actually, as far as I know, there are no separate words for step and half siblings in spoken Hindi. There's only the word "sautela" (or "sauteli" for female) which applies to both. That's why the subtitles say "step-brother".
