George Reddy (born 15 January 1947)(died 14 April 1972) was a research student in physics at Osmania University, in Hyderabad Telangana India who was murdered by his opposition on 14 April 1972 in a student hostel, aged 25.The event led to the formation of the Progressive Democratic Students Union , a student body on the campus of the university that took its name from the PDS imprint that George had used when publishing pamphlets George Reddy was a university gold medallist ,remembered now primarily for his promotion of Marxist ideas and his opposition to social discrimination and inequality. According to a student friend, he was inspired by "the emerging Black Panthers movement in the US, the Vietnamese people's struggle against US imperialism and the peasant uprisings in Naxalbari and Srikakulam."

I could see people comparing him to Guevara and I wonder why some people idolize a war criminal. He began as a revolutionary and became a homophobic tyrant even killing civilians who held a different opinion and the pow (although murder became a sport for him). Not mentioning the plight of the women under his reign would only mean injustice towards them. He was hailed for liberating Cuba but instead pushed the country to ruins and even made it a nuclear weapon depot for the Soviets. Lol. He was hero only before being caught by the Americans and that's when he said, “Do not shoot! I am Che Guevara, and I am worth more to you alive than dead.”
