Same 😭😭😭😭 this was my cast this was my adaptation of one of the series of my favorite book series ever the shadowhunter chronicles.The story kept to the books (also Cassie and her husband were like co directors for the movie and had a say in casting and what happened in the movie in general,but never had any say in the show And it definitely shows) The movie was aestecially pleasing and really brought the world to life.The actors understood the characters and the scores were so beautiful and iconic

i agree... in the movie it was like he was living the actual character. i don't think dom did it that well. even the arrogance part. or his feelings for clary. in the movie, even with no words their affection was obvious from their faces. but in the show apart from the kissing and their dialogues there is no chemistry at all between them.

But I do agree that Dom has done a good job of playing that character but I still prefer the movie.... U should understand that people have different tastes and opinions... So not everyone might have ur same views.... A lot things were different in both the show and movie when compared to the original story in the book but I felt the characters in the movie portrayed the emotions better than the show... U preferred the show and that's ur choice but I'll watch whatever shows I wish babe... That's my choice... PS: The show did get much less tackier and more watchable towards the end.... Jamie Campbell, I can honestly say, is the most gorgeous man on the face of the earth. Every time it’s been a while, and I see him again, I still see the most gorgeous man on the face of the earth. It would be impossible to change my mind. Many times I can change my mind, but with Jamie I just can’t. One look at him would take your breath away. I can’t quite pinpoint why...I think it’s just everything about him really. I watched the movie back in 2013 when it was first released, then I read the books. Although the film differed from the book in many points, I was amazed at how well the creators managed to convey the atmosphere of the Shadow world. The scenery was amazing, as were the actors and the music. Then in 2016 came the series, which I also liked, I even thought how well they did the book adaptation, although with a huge discrepancy with the original source. I recently finished reading "dark artifices" and realized that the series is an absolutely unworthy adaptation of such strong and atmospheric books. It would be better to continue the film, in which the actors were very well chosen. in short, if in a few years they want to make a film adaptation of books in the form of films , starting from the mortal Instruments , let them make it as close as possible to the books! For those ones who didn't like the movie, I won't recommend the TV show, it just started but there are so many changes in it that it really don't look the same story as the book. There's also bad acting from Jace and Cary in the TV show and no chemistry at all. I really like The Jace in the movie, he is not handsome but he did pull off Jace's character in the book and have so much sexiness......

They wouldn't fit though. What I mean is that the movie was going for a slightly different vibe than the TV show so I don't think it's fair to compare the actors. The movie cast and the TV cast are playing the same characters, but the TV show wrote them differently, which is what Kat and Dom were playing. In all honesty I think what a lot of people are responding to is the chemistry between Lily and Jamie, but to be fair, they were dating when they did this movie.
