I love how the first and last ever training scenes in the show have been between 'unlikely partners' 1st with Clary and Alec and now Jace and Simon! It's a weird way to make friends -by kicking their asses- but it clearly works!! Also adds to the whole cyclical feel to the finale, it all ending as it began

This ending is really interesting with clary losing her memories instead of simon. I loved the whole storyline of Simon after he forgot and remembers and becomes a shadowhunter with this strong connection with the downworders but this ending with him staying a vampire is pretty interesting too as is what they did with clary. Not sure which I like better but I'm glad they chose a different route cause we get to see something that I would probably not have imagined right in front of my eyes so I can enjoy both ending for what they are.

You know after rewatching the series and reading a fanfic, it is ridiculous how alone in his grief that his family left him. Like everyone else is moving on finding their happiness and he is just stuck unable to move forward because he no longer has the love of his life. No one tries to understand what he is going through or the loneliness he feels being surrounded by couples knowing he can’t have that. The only advice they give him is to leave her alone and move on. How is he supposed to do that when the only woman he will ever love is no longer a part of his world? Kinda made me sad after thinking about it.

This scene wasn't even int the book series.But now i think i know from where they've got this scene: Tales from the shadowhunters academy.I realized that they combined in this show almost all of the shadowhunters book series not only the mortal instrument.They included some scenes and details from The infernal devices, Tales from the shadowhunter academy, Bane chronicles, and maybe from The dark artifices.
