My guess is that Jack is referring to Bergonzi violins. Which he pronounces as "Brugonza". From THE DICK CAVETT SHOW. February 21, 1973.

What a great and wise line... "The people I don't like are not important enough to me to make an issue out of it."

There is so much to like and admire about Jack Benny. When he played the role of cheapskate, he satirised all misers and made himself the butt of the jokes. When he posed as a jealous fool, he satirised jealous fools everywhere and again took the heat of the gags. In reality, he was a generous man who had a heart of gold and he had the softest spot of all for young violinists. He also insisted to those who appeared with him on his shows, "never play down to the audience; they are smarter than you think." In his own way he made us examine ourselves and challenged us to iron out our kinks. He was the best at what he did and invited us to be our best selves as well.

Jack's Stradivarius was made in 1729. It was renamed the "Benny". Jack bequeathed it to the Los Angeles Philharmonic, where to the best of my knowledge, it's currently being used by Martin Chalifour.

1973. Jack Benny would pass away the following year, the day after Christmas, at age 80.

A friend of mine was a world-class luthier he said these old violins -- Stradivarius -- have been repaired so much over the years that there is little original a violin left, but as they have been repaired by world-class repairmen they sound better than most violins.

are there any videos of Jack actually playing legit, trying his best, no joking around? i'm assuming he's like Dudley Moore on the piano - decent amateur, some talent, but no where near world class.
