Mel Blanc (who actually made his first appearance on Jack's radio show in 1939 as "Carmichael the Bear") makes a rare appearance as "himself"- not only was he under a long-term contact, he was also one of Benny's closest friends. Artie Auerbach is "Mr. Kitzel". Dorothy Collins, one of the stars of "YOUR HIT PARADE" (and also known as "The Sweetheart of Lucky Strike"), sings the jingle in the sponsor's commercials.
