Just sing the lyrics as you play? Then you don't even need to think about the note values. It'll just line up. That's what I do most the time

Little late to the party, but THAT HIGH A FLAT IS CRAZY.. I just switched from trombone to tuba this year and I wasn't even able to get that high on my trombone LOL Fantastic job!!
