I'm going to assume that Robert De Niro being completely terrible at doing an English accent is part of the joke and that this is pure comedic genius.

The fact that DeNiro said all of that, with a straight face, always gets me! 😂😂😂😂 Thanks for uploading this!

Reminds me of the great SNL sketch where Dana Carvey plays Tom Brokaw pre-taping big news headlines.

@@allacds0901 Ah makes sense. I was just going off of recent memory - I had seen The Dana Carvey Show episodes on Hulu I think? It's no longer there, I checked. But there is the documentary about the show on there.
@martinsorenson1055 Жыл бұрын
@@allacds0901 Ah, a little research provides some clarity! Apparently, Carvey and Smeigel repeated the sketch on SNL when Dana Carvey was the Guest Host (after his regular stint on SNL). So, there are two versions out there! It had never officially aired on The Dana Carvey show; for some reason, it had been shelved.

They definitely called the island Mongo for some reason because that's what people are saying and then wrote "Mago" over it. Seems to be a big mistake to me.

I hate to start a sentence with actually, but... actually ago is pronounced with an n in the Fijian language. So it's an incredible example of attention to detail.
