As crestons wife I know what you mean it's about the family I am not that way but I was taught that too and I don't talk with either side of my relatives I don't visit them either because of alcoholism and being recoverd from codependency no family is not everything not to me except my husband but my husband doesn't drink or anything that would kill our marriage I don't do everything with him we are a team but we don't do everything together we both have our alone quiet time and have our own hobbies and interests and we spend time together and enjoy things together thst we both enjoy together but we are both independent people and we are individuals and we don't try to change each other we accept each other faults imperfections and all the things we like about each other and the things we don't we accept each other as we are I'm glad it's a healthy marriage bit not a unhealthy or perfect marriage because no marriage is perfect married people who do everything together and can't spend any time apart or do things by themselves at all are unhealthy and are codependent and ate clingy and don't know who they are without their spouse haven't seen my mom's people in almost 10 years have not spoken with my dad's side for about a year because they do live in my state I don't miss it on either side I'm alot happier and content with out them my dad's people we always argued because they never liked how I would make independent decisions that they hated and they would always let me know how wrong I was we are wideners wr don't do that I'm like oh well it's none of your business how I live my life I'm not like you guys I am an independent thinkers I don't need your permission I have the right to match of the best of a different drum my own drum I got tired of their drama and I quit talking to them it's their way or no way their way or the high way so I'm like I'm done im not part of the family I don't want to be because everything is the widener way i got tired of I love you if I will accept you if

As crestons wife married people who spend all their time together are insecure people who don't know who they are without their spouse that's what my parents marriage was like I'm glad I don't have that kind of marriage it'd not healthy I don't spend time my husband doesn't we don't spend time with married couples like that we spend time with people who are healthy couples who knows who they are and still are whole and complete in who they are just like my husband and I I can't do it I can't be around that as far as friends who are married
