Thanks for taking the time to put this out. Technical writing has been been a huge part of my career for over a decade, but the creative writing process has always boggled my mind bit, especially advancing the plot along. Had no idea a non-fiction outline could be 20,000 plus words. Though that makes sense.

Thank you. It's great to hear your advice. I'm approaching the end of the first draft of my novel, and your advice about how to handle the editing process (printing the book, reading it somewhere new, red pen, etc.) is greatly appreciated. I've not read your books yet (but have read Brad Thor, Brad Taylor, etc.), so I'll be giving your stories a dedicated read next, even though their genre is completely different than what I'm writing. I appreciate you sharing openly what works for you.

I really appreciate you taking the time to put this out! While I’m not trying to become a novelist, I am writing a few articles I’d like to get published in some fly fishing and skiing magazines. But any insight into a more robust process is very helpful. Can’t wait to get my hands on book 6! Cheers brother.

This was fascinating. I've finally got round to The Terminal List. I'm enjoying it. I'm a big fan of The Gray Man series by Mark Greaney and that's where I got the recommendation for Jack Carr.

The Terminal List was an amazing piece of television. Which I definitely intend on reading the source material in the near future. I try and write at least five pages of a screenplay day. Unless I’m working on of two of my KZbin channels. But that’s my excuse. Lol

Stop writing in so much detail. It messes with the flow of the narrative.
