Jack Eichel's Lifestyle IS NOT What You Think!
The first seven years of Jack Eichel’s NHL career were filled with questions. Though in recent months he's all but answered every one of them.

Mad respect to Jack Eichel. He at least give Thompson an option to make the deal work for his previous home in Buffalo so Thompson can live out his life while Jack does that in Vegas as a Stanley Cup Winner.

I am very, very grateful that we have Jack Eichel on our team. He was the missing piece we needed to win the Stanley Cup. He is a superstar, and he showed in the playoffs in his very first ever appearance winning the cup before Connor McDavid. People can sit there and say Jack Eichel has a bad attitude or is a locker room cancer, but is he really those people who say that don’t really know the person and don’t really know the situation at hand they just want to assume and say things such as that. Jack Eichel is now a champion forever. And there will be hopefully a lot more championships. Headed our way. Going to be tough to get there, but we did it once we can do it again.!

Jack is nothing like the sabres describe him. According to the boys, he came in and never acted like he’s a somebody. He fit in quietly. And oh boy this guy is a stud!!! Amazing player! We feel so secured everytime he handles the puck. He’s happy again! We love him and every single one of the boys in the locker room.

@sidetrak85 11 ай бұрын
That's not what many players have said but....He wasn't always like that. As a competitor, you want to win. This team was so poorly built around him that you can't blame the guy for acting out. "You want me to be a leader but there's nothing to lead". I get the guy. Let's not act like he acted professionally the entire time and I would of personally snapped way before. I'm going on 13 month's of poor hiring and I already signed for college (at 37) next year 😂. In order for Eichel and the Sabre's to grow they had to part way's, both sides knew it and both sides are happy. Do you really think the Sabre's would of won a cup with Jack there? Happy for everyone involved.

Eichel asked for a trade before he got hurt, not surprising the Sabres weren't going to honor his request for a surgery that no other active NHL player has had. Glad it went well for him but, if it didn't the Sabres were on the hook for the remainder of his 80mil contract. He's on a good team and doesn't have to be "the guy" because he's no McDavid. Its a good thing the Avalanche were so banged up or it would've been a back to back for them
@csharp48
@csharp48 11 ай бұрын
You got any proof that he asked for a trade before his injury? He says that they told him they were going to go into their third rebuild of his career less than six year career, so he suggested, if they are going to rebuild again, they should probably trade Eichel for max value. The Buffalo Sabres decided not to rebuild and thus, Eichel had no need to request a trade. Otherwise, you live in a reality where Buffalo Sabres superstar, and second fiddle to McDavid, requested a trade and literally not one person talked about it for a full year and a half. Buffalo would have never been "on the hook" for Eichel, if that surgery failed. If the surgery failed, the can always reverse and do a spinal fusion. Even if it had failed and Eichel never played a single more game, Buffalo would still not be "on the hook". Whether you are worried about cap space, Eichel would have simply LITRetired and zero effect. Unless you are worried about a billionaires pocket book, in which case, there is a player insurance fund that pays a large chunk of a players LTIRetirement. Eichel is 1000% the guy in Vegas. Who had the most points in the playoffs this year? Also, I'll ask you how many times the Avalanche have beaten Vegas in the Playoffs. What's their record?

"He's on a good team and doesn't have to be "the guy" because he's no McDavid". Oh, this aged well. (Thinking of the Edmonton series where Jack stripped McDavid of the puck and scored an ENG.) Fast forward to November 2023. Wish you the best, Joe, but Jack is doing just fine with the Knights...and he's definitely a leader. Very happy he's a Knight. Cheers.

So, he stripped mcdavid of the puck and that makes him better? My point, he's on a good team, the sabres seem happy with tuch and krebs, players that want to be there. eichel is no leader, he failed as a captain, quit on his team and asked for a trade b4 he got hurt. Stone is a leader/captain, eichel is a good player, and STILL no mcdavid. Still don't see my point? Here, enjoy, hart trophy 2017, 2021, 2023, Art ross trophy 2021, 22, 23 rocket richard trophy 2023, best espy nhl player 2022, 23, ted lindsey award 2018, 21, 23. eichel name is on none of these, mcdavid is. eichel never refer as "best player on the planet" eichel probably gave them what they needed to win the cup, but wasn't conn smyth winner, hmm. eichel has one trophy mcdavid wants, the cup, but so do a lot of other lesser players. cheers

I never said Jack would be 'the best player on the planet' BUT he still has a cup, and he certainly can go for other awards (he's got time), and he's still a leader in the room (among many). Mark Stone is our captain, no denying it (he's my fave) but I'm sure Jack is a voice in that room. I can't speak for McDavid, but I'm pretty sure he'd like to have his name on the one Cup that matters. Cheers. @@joek7413
