Returning to this because they were always meant to be endgame and this masterpiece brings all the emotions up again!! Will is never going to be as good to Elizabeth as Jack was, because he was the only one who really understood her and accepted her for who she was. Will had always had this image of her as a petite lady dressed in corsets and dresses in his head when she'd never been that. He tried to protect her and act as her savior, when she could take care of herself just fine. Jack knew this, and rather than protect her, stood by her as an equal because that's what they were. He called her a pirate after she chained him to the ship and voted for her to be pirate king because he knew who she really was and what she was capable of. I remember watching the movies as a kid and being so upset with Will because he always tried to come to her rescue when she didn't need it. There is a fight scene, I can't remember in which movie, where Will is trying to protect Elizabeth and ultimately fails, and Jack just swoops in and gives her a sword. That sums their relationships up to me perfectly and that's when I finally knew. Love this and love them, always and forever upset that Will somehow ended up with her because..really.

Jack and Elizabeth had great chemistry. She had very little with Will. Jack is cute, beautiful, and sexy (it does help he was played by Johnny Depp), which is what makes the scenes of him and Elizabeth even better. The kiss between them never fails to give me butterflies, since it is the best kiss I have ever seen. I wish she ended up with Jack. The sparrow and the swan, as some folks like to put it. Elizabeth and Jack could have been each other's captains, ;). ❤ And also, my childhood crush was Jack.

But returning to the topic of the movie, of course Jack had feelings for Angelica, but if there was one person he was really in love with and whom he considered the "love of his life" it was Elizabeth, for Angelica he didn't do even half of the things , which he did for Elizabeth. Just like Elizabeth is really in love with Jack, if she made the decision to stay with Will it was because she had known him since she was a child and because she had a "safe" love with him. The writers of the film themselves confirmed it, that Elizabeth was in love with Jack, and Jack with Elizabeth, even if you read the books of the saga, there it is confirmed that the true leading couple was Elizabeth and Jack, with a brave, passionate, and adventurous love between them 2, but at the same time IMPOSSIBLE.
