I listened to the commentary version of this and he explains how he wrote this song reading through a journal entry he’d written when he and his wife were backpacking through Europe, and they were at the end of their trip, running out of money and trying to plan out what they were going to do when they got home. Then quite literally out of nowhere a hail storm came and knocked them around and they had to run to cover, and then burst out laughing. He says how it showed them that no matter how much you tried to plan, you can’t, but as long as they were together it was enough. ‘You can enjoy anything if you’ve got the right person by your side’. ❤️
