They did their best work on this movie. Someone on YT did a breakdown of the scenes where Nicholson glances straight at the camera. The detail Kubrick must have given his direction on the set must have been a burden for everyone else but Nicholson.

Kubrick actually tortured Shelley Duvall to make her scared during the shooting of the Shinning, but now it's different with the impact of social media, so probably Stanley Kubrick would be cancelled today.
