My wife's first cousin and aunt rented that house in the late seventies/early eighties. Decades later, her aunt told us that, when they would sit at the table to eat, that her son (wife's cousin) would tell his mom that there was someone standing behind her, and she would reply, "Oh, be quiet." She thought that it was just a case of him smoking pot, lol.

Born and raised in Hawaii pretty much everywhere we go is haunted. Some not as much as others. Famous one is Tūtū Pele or Madam Pele. She would be seen walking at night along the roads. If you didn’t stop to pick her up she would appear in your backseat. Also, you never take lava rocks, it is disrespectful and extremely bad luck. Many nonbelievers who have taken the rocks back w/ them end up sending the rocks back w/ a letter asking Tūtū Pele for forgiveness.

The fact that she was choked reminds me of other choking ghost legends that are very common in Hawaii. The attitude towards the paranormal here is similar to natives growing up on the rez. We experience things from young so it’s easy to accept. Most property has some stories attached and it’s hard to get away from it. The best policy is that if you see something, no you didn’t. If something calls your name while up in the mountains, ignore it.

Growing up here on Oahu, I heard stories of the haunted Kaimuki house at the corner of 8th and Harding. Never heard of a Kasha connected with the house, always was told it was an Obake. Which would make more sense than a Kasha. However, it is interesting that a Hawaiian family was living there and this is Hawaiian land that an Obake would be named. Obake is a shapeshifter / ghost of a deceased human. Maybe the cop or one writing the story was Japanese and used the familiar term Obake vs the Hawaiian term for ghost as 'Uhane. Idk just a thought. We visited the property many times in the past when we went on our ghost huntings. The stories made the house feel spooky but for me, I never felt anything uneasy. There’s a monster house there now, a dwelling for multiple families. Over the years before the new place was built, I do recall that the house at times didn’t have anyone living there for a long while and seemed families would come and go fairly quickly. 🤔
@LadyElle8089 ай бұрын
Harding Avenue is the older part of Kaimuki. Imo it's elemental all focused on the land. How do I know? We have boulders under our property from the Freeway construction next to Harding... Yes, creepy stuff happens outside. Not poltergeist. Excessive yardwork seems to piss it off. Check out the fire station further up the street...heard that place is haunted too.

I'm yelling at my phone rn bcuz I see some ties! We were at war w/Japan, there was a large Japanese pop in Hawaii, & Pearl Harbor, like all major battles can be seen as a bringer of bad entities. Then, in one of the 1st articles Jack read, the man involved said either "he'd brought it there, or it's back?" It found its way to that house, whatever it is, and then there's also the night watchers who carry fire. But the biggest thing is every mrng they'd wake up to all of the SMOKE DETECTORS going off! Idfk, I'm feeling more of the murderous man, but it feels ancient protectors and modern evil clashing. 🔥🔥

Jack It's Mt Hiyei (Hee-ei). Did your Japanese fixer lady tell you the background of the area? The temple was built, based on Fung Shui, as a shield to prevent the negative spirits from entering Kyoto. Also in the 16th century there was a battle and a massacre in the mountain. I haven't heard that many ghost stories from there (there are many haunted locations in Japan) but obviously your fixer lady encountered something there.

Hi. I hate to bring fictional television into it, but, that being said, credit where credit is due; the writing for "Supernatural ", from comparing my own recreational research, has shown to depict lore with a huge amount of accuracy. There is an episode early on in the series (1:17 "Hell House") that delves into the theory of 'created hauntings' that I've been hearing you mention in several episodes. In the episode, there is a sigil called a Tulpa , or Tibetan Spirit Sigil. Lore around it, says that it can be used to manifest the focus of those using it, I believe, during a mass or group meditation of sorts. Just thought it would be worth mentioning, if you hadn't heard about it yet. Love the show, keep doing what you do ❤

I think sometimes people don't realize and by writing them on paper it makes them real. The more people talk about them the more power they have. That's not to say all the things that are evil are created....some are just conjured and I'm sure they lie about who they are. We never know!
