To those complaining that “Reacher” - the show or the character - is not realistic … Some of us don’t want to watch any more reality. Many of us have seen, or lived enough of it. We don’t want to see the bad guys get arrested and make bail. We want to see them suffer for the harm they’ve done, preferably in creative ways. We want to see them fall, fall hard, bounce, and hear them scream about it. We want to see a superhero - who’s not dressed like a ballerina - kick assets and take names. And then, we want to see the good guy get the (preferably smart AND hot) girl, collect the reward, pat the kid on the head while offering sage advice, ride off into the sunset, and live happily ever after. In other words, we want John Wayne movies updated to modern day scenarios and characters. That’s what Reacher is … fantasy. If we wanted a documentary, we could easily be watching one. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Almost every book Childs mentions that Reacher is a bad driver. He's not driven much- he almost always had a driver in the service and didn't own a car afterward. He's uncomfortable and out of his depth behind the wheel. But the producers of the series can't go three episodes without having him drive like Formula 1 champ. It gets on my nerves.

See where you went wrong here? There's is the contraction of "there is" and is is singular. Rules is plural! You need the contraction of "there are" which is there're. (And yes it is there're even though it is not commonly used.) He's right. There are no such things as rules in a fight. (Corrected version, complete with proper punctuation but avoiding the less common contraction.) The English language DOES have rules!
