I’ve only just recently discovered Jack Savoretti. What an amazing voice, nearly every song resonates with me at a deep emotional level. In 1997 my husband and I separated, I told him ‘you are better off without me’. When I heard this song a few days ago, it brought all those feelings of loss and heartbreak back. It really touched my soul deeply. Thank you Jack, for your hauntingly exquisite lyrics and beautiful melody.

Julia isn't it amazing how songs can resonate all areas of our life. You just can't help but love music because it speaks to our soul. There are so many talented artists out there and each of us resonate with the words of a certain band or group. I'm in the exact same position as you. I would never tell my close friends about this cos wouldn't talk behind his back so here I am talking to a stranger and you may never even read this, but, I'm full of anxiety and totally heartbroken. He left me last night via a message when I was in hospital, it sent me into a spin, I nearly discharged myself to go see him. I'll never blame him for approaching things this way, he's not a mean person, i think it all got too much and he felt it was the only way he could do it there and then. He said he can't make me happy! he totally does!! but he doesn't seem to believe in himself & all we've built up. He told me he's not my guy anymore he's just a pal, those words crushed me. No matter what I say he won't listen, his mind is made up and I'm totally broken, afraid and alone. I respect him so much that I have to not influence him or put my sadness on him, all I care about is his happiness and if that means he feels I'm better off without him I'll just have to accept that even though I disagree. I love him so much, more than anyone before but what can I do! Just continue to be his friend even though it's gonna hurt so bad. I'll never give up on him, I'll always be there for him, he's the most amazing person I know and my love for him is unconditional. I feel this song is him saying this to me, it cuts deep. @@janivaleska3589 That whole album, also called BETWEEN THE MINDS is worth listening to Jani...back when i met him at The Louisiana in Bristol, England, i thought his tickets would be £100+ They were £7.50....i ordered 10 and persuaded ten family members and friends to go see Jack. Somebody mentioned this to him and he just said "wow...really"...when Jack finished his gig, i got up on the small stage and asked him for his "song order" sheet, signed if possible...he was so humble, he actually seemed surprised. I told him that i also wrote songs. He said he would happily look at some for me..and he did..google anything on SONIC FOXX MUSIC..Jasmine Lamport is well worth a listen.
