Ive been thru the samething my whole life and I'm 48... Ive learned to take care of myself and fell in love with my ownself first before trying to let anybody else in .... Work towards all of your wants for yourself... Make yourself feel complete and strong for yourself... Feel complete with being single.. If you learn to love yourself , you'll never let toxic ppl in your life! you'll never let yourself hurt you like that again... You will see the toxic ppl right away cuz your strong and know what your wants are and you won't settle for less for yourself! Its a long journey of self healing and love but it is totally worth it... I'm 3 years in and I'm still working on me. I'm taken care of health from head to toes, eaten right, I got mentally heath and heal from a professional in the beginning ( it's so nice have a postive person to support you and move you in the right direction) .I have never felt so strong with so much inner peace... Ive even got toxic family members out of my life! Lord, just putting me first has been the most incredible feeling for myself ever... I'm at the point that I'm so happy being single cuz I feel so much stronger! My will and determination has increased for myself... I'm proud of all of my journeys in the past that ive put myself thru cuz I've learnt from them and I will never aloud that to happen to ne ever again cuz I love myself to much! Hang in there... Heartbreakes and changes are so hard but take it as a postive and start growing from here for yourself... Like my Dad would always say... Put your head up, your shoulders back , walk strong and remember who you are!

This is the first time I ever experienced something as toxic as my relationship w my ex. And you’re right. I will never put myself through that again or allow anyone so much power over me. Trust me I’ve been through hell in my life, not just a bad relationship here or there. Every other aspect of my life is alright, some room for improvement. But with men it’s like my kryptonite. I work on myself every day and I see it the same way. You need to love yourself and improve your life with each day that passes by and in everything you do. I got everything else on point but men and relationships let’s just say that is something I will not entertain for now
