I believe deep down Heracles let Jack win for the sake of humanity, for Jack and Heracles both want Humanity to survive and Heracles winning would only make the goal harder to achieve, both have conflicting sides on which deserves to win, so Jack won the fight and lost the mental war but both won at the end, it goes to show that the tournament is pointless for many Gods, Humans, and Valkyries lost their lives for the sake of the Gods pride to always win when deep down every God and Human are essentially the same, the only difference is that Gods have more power and control.
