John Ritter was a comedic genius.

The first comedy I recall for John Ritter was as a guest on "M.A.S.H." which also had great comedians - an entire cast. They gave him the jump start on his acting career. His early mentors were fantastic. Then he thrived with "Three's Company" and evolved into a master comedian. Decades later, he was able to mentor Kaley Cuoco who went on to star in "Big Bang Theory". I watched "Three's Company" weekly when it was live in the late 70s to early 80s. I also watched the re-runs daily that came on around the same time. He had absurd quotes you could pick from "Mr. Hadley was behaving badly!" or "Gum me!" I think my favorite was when he put too much spice in one dish that the customer actually liked - "At last, a chef who uses enough spice!"

Jack chased women but he was just a single, unattached guy. Nothing wrong with it. He never mistreated anyone other than getting himself into some predicaments due to little white lies usually stemming from his buddy Larry. He had a heart of gold which is shown in many scenes when one of his female roommates was hurting. He also shows his big heart with how he treats Bernice, the woman who he accidentally serenaded in season 6. The character and John Ritter himself were both pure class. And Ritter was one of the best physical comedians of all time.
