Hence, "Never thought T (Travis) was a wreck." referring to him being emotionally destroyed. (An emotional wreck). It's also a play on how "wreck" sounds like "rex" when you pluralize it. (wrecks) Nowwww, seeing that you don't understand the lines, you are probably new to rap and think I'm just thinking too far into this but nah. A lot of rap songs contain symbolism and metaphors like this that are vague that your average listener wouldn't understand and would think makes no sense, but does to avid listeners like us. Just saying.

This song hits so different for me because it came out back in 2019 when Travis was going through his breakup with Kylie. I remember relating to that so hard because I was having issues with my girlfriend at the exact same time. He used to post about it on social media, and you could tell that it was a huge breaking point for him. One post was a picture of him captioned ‘mind over matter’. It’s a really vivid memory for me. I felt connected because I knew I wasn’t the only one going through a huge life change.
