For the 1 million item in the filling cabinet the easiest way for me was to store lava in it. Because it stores by millibucket, so you only need 1000 bucket of lava.

For people still playing or starting Sky Factory 4 is, IF you have access to projectE, your Item Extraction Cables go from 64 items per tick maximum (64 stacks in one tick, 20 stacks in one seconds = 1280 items) up to 360 stacks per second using Watch of Flowing time in a pedestal (18 ticks extra to all machines in a 5x5x5 radius) bringing up the numbers up to 23040 items per second transfered from side to side (if I'm not wrong).

Hmm... I'll be honest, servers are not my specialty. I am very much a noob at them and mess up more often than succeed with them. FYI #3 .. you can just hopper cobble into the top of the crucible

That must have been added in one of the updates. When it was first released, hoppers did not pump into the crucible. It always seemed odd that it didnt work though.

Sugarcane is great for paper, and easy if you put it in a hopping bonsai, but once you have a cotton sapling in a hopping bonsai, you can use those drops to make paper for days.

Snad and a clock are great, but a little more awkward to automate. I love watching columns of sugarcane fall in my world, but too much and it can really start to lag. Sugarcane or a cotton sapling in a hopping bonsai are pretty clean.

For #3, just put the cobblestone gen under the auto-clicker. it'll feed the auto-clicker directly.

@@thegamebox4669 huh, i'll have to look into that because that might help me. I was running into an issue where a t5 gen couldn't keep up with a maxed out lava gen because it wasn't getting lava fast enough. that might make it so I don't need two cauldrons for 1 lava gen.

Yeah, lava gen becomes a big bottleneck with maxed out magmatic generators. But, the near-instant lava production is much nicer than the slow lava from other packs.

8:32 theres an "upgraded" type of watering can that needs: 4 reinforced obsidian ingot, 1 watering can(the normal one) and 1 nether star the watering can(normal) can water an area of 3x3(9 blocks in total) and Upgraded watering can water a area of 5x5(25 blocks in total)

That is a good tip. The Nether star makes it a little more difficult to obtain. It would be cool if you could 'stack' them like the regular cans.

File folders have a limited amount of storage, the offical wiki (it is small) says it holds an extremly high amount of stuff... I got 500m logs and still is going really fast for some reason when I set up my farm I got 1m in 10 mins

Each folder goes up to max integer. That is 2 billion 147 million and a half-ish (2,147,483,647) items.

Just to put it out there,there is an even better design for the geothermal and its extremely small and very fast Cobblegen down anywhere then torch on the side of the cobble gen then a cauldron above the torch then and auto user above the cobble gen facing the cauldron then the geothermal above the auto user and then a fluid extraction ontop of the cauldron and it will auto connect to the geo thermal then just place one cobble in the cauldron and it will start running, it will stop when the geothermal has max rf but will auto restart when it goes down at all, its a fullly auto rf machine

pro tip, for snad build a redstone clock (the modded one that is only one block and is fairly cheap) and it is basically an autoclicker for the snad permanently

Vert true. It will also power multiple blocks of SNAD, which makes it a good tool for getting the octuple sugarcane block as well. Actually, something I only learnt recently is that you can put sugar cane in a hopping bonsai and it will grow like a sapling. Doesn't work with sugarcane though.

I just right clicked on a filing cabinet containing a folder that had 2.9million sugar canes in it opening it and closing it again. It gave me the achievement upon opening the filing cabinet.

Sorry if you've said this and I missed it or said it somewhere else, but we made our lava generator with a cobblestone generator over a hopper that hoppers in to a fluid tank. What are your thoughts on that?

They are a pretty good intermediate system. And really good for Saplings as you can hopper right int o them and limit what you are picking up.

I realize this is 5 months old but I just started this mod pack a week or so ago and ended up hooking a item transfer node to my chest connected to my tier 5 cobble gen and wirelessly transferred to my filing cabinet setup and once I hit 1M cobble and right clicked it I got the achievement. Not sure if it's just a high chance of being bugged and I'm just lucky though. Should be a less labor intensive way to test than the stick setup you had though albeit maybe slower.

well i know this is an hold video but there is a kool block call junk storage, you can store non stackable item in it and the block will stack them.. most commun use for storing enchanted book, if you have 10 fortune 3( for example) instead of using 10 space in a normal chest it will stack it in 1 in the junk storage and it can stack it up to 256 .... perfect for auto making enchant book.. it can conect with your simple storage system

so i didn't know that's how snad worked.. originally I just thought snad gave the thing it's growing no growth limit. so after this video, I setup a 9x9 cactus farm with slabs, snad, and redstone clocks set to 1 tick. Came back to it after one night of it running and already had almost double what i needed for permanent record. ofc the achievement didn't work (so if anyone knows the command to cheat it in, you'd be a life saver :) ) but now I have 2 million cacti and will be setting up a sugar cane farm based on the same thing.

Yeah, snad is pretty amazing. If your doing sugarcane, you can also grow it in a Bonzai pot. There is no animation for it, but if you have high enough mulch it will be a smaller build and will be quite a bit less lag.

Dude literally do a cobblestone gen into a chest, use a tag for the chest, put it into an item stanfer node and connect it to the cobblestone cauldron. Then transfer the lava into the geotherm for inf power. Do a line of these for more eff

Do you have turn 'Prestige' turned on? It is a 'Hard' mode style of gameplay that limits your abilities behind points. If you press 'P' it will being up to purchase tab. There is also a special 'Prestige' tab in the advancement book.

Yeah, do NOT use filling cabinets, they are lag machines to the extreme. Also they dont' void off excess items. Now shipping crates + simple storage now that is great.

With a lot of filling cabinets i was having chunk update issues like blocks not appearing at first or chunks not loading in till i placed a block down in it. Lol this is hilarious. "right click it" means fill the folder with a placeable block, then put the folder in your hand, and finally "right click" on a space as if you were trying to place a block down. It's so funny to watch you fail at this because you had it in your hand, and you even mention earlier in the video that it can place blocks. So it's literally just sitting right under your nose, and you missed it.

Yeah, unfortunately it was filled with sticks, which is not a placeable block. It is one of the things that have been suggested as to why it failed for me and a few others I have talked to. Will have to go after the quest again sometime in the future.

Jackel Wolf think you know how to stop the statue bats from spawning because I have went into the config files themselves in attempt to stop them from spawning but not even that worked because from what I know when every they take damage from a player the will deal damage to player even if using range weapons like Shurikens so far my “solution” is a repeating command block with kill @e[type=statues:statue_bat]

I was able to get the 1M folder achievement by holding just the folder in my hand and right clicking. Beware of shields cuz they have blocking as precedent to item right click.

Hopping bonsais are locked behind prestige :(

They are, it is definitely the toughest thing to do without in an early game prestige run. I wish you could choose to unlock it before vein mining... but set up enough regular bonsai pots for whatever resources you need and do a quick run with your axe and you can get a fair amount. Unlock the first point and then restart the world with vein Miner, which should allow you to get that first point quickly again for hopping bonsais. After that it becomes easier.

U dont need filing cabinets just use barrels

You can use barrels if you want, especially early game, but they take up much more room than the file cabinets do. I cant remember if they fit in a shipping container or not 🤔. I like the file cabinets because they are infinite storage with no modifications and they are super easy to connect to any storage system. Though to be effective, you need that storage system, so file cabinets are late early-game around the time you start simple storage.

It is a block you can craft with 2 pieces of sand in a crafting table. If you feed it a redstone signal it will speed up sugarcane and cactus growth.

@@JackelWolf i think its just cheaper. most people try to get bricks for their first cauldron and you need clay for that, but you can make a cauldron capable of holding lava as soon as you get sand by making a glass cauldron.

But wouldn't you need a furnace to make the glass? That would mean you already had cobble in your world so a cobble cauldron would still be easier... though not as nice looking as a glass one. I do hate jumping up to look in the cauldron when I am using a 'lower half slab' platform 😅.

A furnace, or even a slab furnace, is easy to make before gong for the cobblestone generator. Now I am going to make a glass cauldron "just because" :)

Odd. Not sure what is happening with the watering cans, but for the crashing, how much memory do you have allocated to the game? That is the only thing I can think of that would cause that.

@@JackelWolf No idea why i have to spam the heck out of shift + r click, sometimes it finally works, usually not. 32GB system ram, 8 in Java (if that even matters) every time I put a folder in a crafting table, no matter what the table, (remote, workbench, reg table etc) instant crash back to launcher, reported the bug with system info, but for the most part I've given up on and advanced past them anyway.

That's odd. With that much ram, it probably isn't a memory issue then. Not sure what else could be causing it. You don't have any additional mods installed? As for the watering can, I think to use the can you just need to hold right click... unless you are trying to lock it on? Then yeah... shift r-click should work. Do you have a key-conflict maybe? Something else that might be overriding the watering can?

@@JackelWolf Ok, 1 thing that was not mentioned anywhere i could find, watering can MUST be pointed at tilled land to activate, and at close enough range to "highlight" it, issue resolved. The file folder thing has been an ongoing issue since early game, no idea why.

You need to grow it on SNAD. It is a special block crafted by putting 2x sand blocks in a crafting table. Works for cactus as well.

The mulches can make resources seem OP. But there are some things that you cant get from trees. Yu can automate some of them with hogs, which is a different process.

You mean growing it up quickly? You need to make SNAD, which is 2 pieces of sand in a crafting table. You can then use a pulsing redstone signal (like a redstone clock) or something simple like a switch, to speed up the growing process. You also need the block to be next to a source of water for sugarcane. You can do the same for cactus.
