The 500 ran our home 6ft freezer unit for 10 hours from 100% charge. Hope this helps. So it can be used in an emergency at home for a short term power cut - one must assume therefore that the 1000w will give around twice that.

I got the Jackary 500 for my 7-week trip out to CA and back to TN. I set it up to charge from the car and it's 12v outlet was connected to my Apicool C20. The Jackary charging from the car easily kept up with the draw from the fridge. In a test, it ran the fridge for 48 hours and it consumed about 70% of the Jackary's battery. I also recommend getting Jackary's solar panel.

At the end of the night, I still have 34-38 % ….then it takes 4-4.5 hrs to recharge at home in the wall outlet. Btw I use the 110v wall adapter for my cpap, as I haven’t purchased the car adapter yet, and the tech at JACKERY said I could save an additional 15% from the power conversion if I do use the car adapter to power my cpap!!! Re your comment on the shortcomings of your roof mounted panel, I do not like a roof mounted solar panel because if you are in the sun for a recharge, you are baking hot. Would the Jackery 500 be able to handle those simple needs for a rainy day or an overnight trip? I love that Jackery is pretty much Plug and Play. No having to control it via a cell phone application. YOUR feedback would be most helpful and much appreciated. Thanks 😊!

Those Jackerys are expensive. The 1000 watt Jackery holds about 46 amp hours. You can get a deep cycle marine battery that holds 200 amp hours for about the same price as the Jackery . 1000. Hooking up the deep cycle battery is more complicated you need an inverter, fuse and you need to understand the difference between a series and parallels connection but you get alot more power for you're money. 46 amp hours is plenty if you are spending an evening out with only basic camping supplies but if you are trying to live in you're Van 3 or 4 days a week like me and run a mini-fridge/laptop you need alot more than 46 amp hours.

which one would you recommend for a small heater? It's for a small greenhouse. Maybe once in a while run a led grow light.
@mariedykeman52083 жыл бұрын
Most heaters are 1500 watts. I have bought a volcano 750 watt space heater. You would need 2 100 watt solar panels. I would another way to warm plants. 1000 to 1500 watt generator about low $1200 estimate

Will I be able to have this for my hydroponic garden for years? Or will it die on me about a year in. Its for 15hr a day use 60watt led, I believe I’m getting the jackery 500
@MrEye4get3 жыл бұрын
What type of batteries does Jackery use? Very deep discharges will quickly, permanently damage a Li-ion battery. Internal metal plating can occur causing a short circuit, making the battery unusable and unsafe. I worry about discharging when the power station isn't used for a long (once a month) time.

Do Jackery make 5000 watts portable generators?
@bessieoriotis51044 жыл бұрын
With the jackery, I'd like to know a novice question. This will allow me to load my smart phone that has You Tube , right. If I plan to live in a regular car I can plug it in where and can I be somewhere like my mom's and use her electric sock? If I want to boil water for coffee or make simple food is there an appliance that uses the jackery. I know that you read a lot of weird questions each day. I am a super amateur and a minimalist so you answering these will really help. Please answer.

You'd plug the Jackery into your car's cigarette lighter... That's actually a "12 volt" socket. You can also charge it by plugging it into a regular house socket or an electric socket at a campground. And, of course, it can be charged withsolar power. I'm pretty sure any of the Jackery batteries can charge your smart phone. As for the other products, I'll have to defer to someone else. Good luck!

@@catherinejohns8449 I really appreciate the information. I have gotten into vanlife info, esp living in a car. I am turning into a minimalist as well. No matter how many times I saw this product I couldn't get it. I guess you know I was never one to go camping, but life changes and so do we
