Thank you all for showing so much support on this video! I knew how much of a favorite it was for people and I wanted to get it back out there in any form. I how the updates make it worth wild for people who’ve already seen it ❤ I was on a time crunch this week so I decided to try something new (ironically taking something old)

in my mind, joel mchale yelling "yeah!! whoo!" is the straight guy equivalent of "yass queen!!!" , so its both appropriate & hilarious to me. i love the idea of cheering for drag queens like some dude at a football match.

As a very straight dude, I can confirm. Add in a "LET'S GO!" and you have the Straight Dude Trifecta. 😂 Honestly everything I've ever seen Joel in gives me the impression that he's a genuinely great dude and if anything ever came out to the contrary I'd be super disappointed.

Joel being on the show was the straight guy we needed. Him screaming and cheering for the queens like he was at a football game was so cute. It was the energy people would give if a queen did a number at the bar and I was living for how hyped up he was. It showed he actually wanted to be there and he was living for the queens.

Joel McHale was obnoxious and at the time I certainly didn't think it was coming from a place of love. Look at Michelle's face while he's screaming. He seemed like he was drunk and just making the most of a day spent watching "dudes in dresses." It was cringe-worthy and each of those girls who aren't strictly Instagram queens have had guys like that at their home bar. They come up onstage while you're performing and usually leave with one or two bruises because of it. Compare him with Bobby Moynihan and you'll see who's the more genuine fan of drag and takes it seriously.

When Gaga was on season 9, I’ll never forget her walking into the werk room to surprise the queens and when Eureka started crying, she knelt down to listen to her speak while holding her hand. Carson is so underrated as a regular judge. Just the way the show is formatted, they only let air his one-liners. But if you watch him in interviews and if you saw him on Celebrity Big Brother, he is extremely wise. He understands the balance between the silliness of celebrity, but also the seriousness of representation and artistic expression.

Carson also works as a great amplifier for gag moments. His reactions have been a huge factor for iconic moments on Drag Race, like his reaction to Violet's S7 jumpsuit reveal, his shock at the Aja vs Ben DeLacreme lipsync, or all the times he leans into jokes/flirtation, like in the Fascinated lipsync with Eutica. I do like that at least Vanessa saw humour in her voguing comment that when she appeared on Dragula the trailer used her saying, "I'm so into blood right now." for promotion. But yeah having Gaga on season 9 completely changed the guest judge format. Anytime they manage to host a big name again they need to base the whole episode on them. Like if we ever got Cher, Britney, Dolly, Beyonce or Mariah. Gotta also say that Cameron Diaz on All Stars 7 was really sweet since she practically came out of retirement for it. I really wish Drag Race Philippines got a bit of a mention in this video, Rajo Laurel was by far one of the worst (rotating) judges in drag race history. Nicki Minage’s appearance on DR completely changed my view of her. I didn’t listen to her music cause it’s not my thing and I thought she was kinda vapid, shallow and stupid but as a judge, she was so helpful, eloquent, and smart. Complete opposite of how I saw her before! Her verse was even amazing so she has the talent to boot, I really discounted her from what little I had heard from her music and I never gave her a chance which was shallow of ME. I’ve stopped judging artists so harshly off of their music that I don’t like and it’s been for the better. Taylor Swift is another artist that I don’t personally listen to at all so I used to dislike her for no other reason but she’s actually also really cool, clever, and talented, so I’ve stopped letting my personal music taste get in the way of supporting amazing kind & talented women

Alicia Dixon has been a judge on many reality TV competitions in the UK. She started with Strictly Come Dancing (after winning it herself), & has done many seasons of Britain's Got Talent. She's always been a lovely judge with constructive criticism and gentle encouragement, along with her general 'hype-man' attitude just makes her a great judge. So it's obvious she was going to be a fantastic guest judge. Honestly I wouldn't mind her being a semi-regular.

Not being prepped for Snatch Game (Gigi and the other model) is no excuse. Snatch Game lasts (in the episode not IRL) maybe 10 minutes at most. They knew they were gonna be on that episode and could easily have watched half a dozen previous Snatch Games and it would have taken them less than an hour. I also think they just didn't have much personality, either of them. And then being on a show with drag queens who have really big personalities made them seem even blander.

i don’t agree with a few of willams critiques of the show, but i will always agree with her take on who should and shouldn’t be a guest judge. it pisses me off when they get some random actor or celeb to be a judge and their critiques of the queens is just “oh wow i love your makeup, you should do that on me sometime” or “i wish i could do what you do!!”. it’s just unoriginal and gives me the vibe they found whoever they could to fill a seat, when they could’ve just had one of the regular judges take that spot
