If any game deserves to be called a masterpiece it’s this one. The visuals, music and setting are all unmatched. You can feel the passion and love from the devs at every moment.. don’t think we will see anything like this again.

There was something truly different about the soldiers screaming being burned alive. They nailed the immersion to the point I was acc uncomfortable. Every layer of the game was executed perfectly.

He's at a capture event..I forget where I saw it but I read that dice is done with cinematic trailers and are doing only gameplay trailers because they want us to know exactly what we are getting....I wish I remembered the source for that In reality I think it's a combination of both tbh

This game has SUCH good art direction it's crazy. It's insane how genuinely beautiful video games can be. The introductory sequence, where you see everyone's names and date of birth, the framing device of war stories as a basis for the campaign, moments like the pigeon flight in the tank mission, the score and soundtrack of the entire game, even the individual maps are beautifully detailed and complex, not just bc of the photogrammetry, but the background choices they made, the lighting, the micro-narrative of Operations mode- it's all just so cool, so thoughtful, so in-depth. This game, for the singleplayer campaign, for the multiplayer, for the art, for the action, for the sound design, for everything, really deserves a fuckin 10/10 in my opinion

the skepticism i had when i first learned that the next battlefield was going to be ww1... and to my pleasant surprise it really worked. gotta agree the ambience/theme/styling whatever you want to call it has not been seen, not even close, in a multiplayer fps. really inspired stuff. thanks for the sp play, i never played through it

I said it the day Battlefield 1 came out, and I will say it again now. The opening of this game is amazing. I can't even begin to describe how. The fact that the game just puts you right in it. No tutorial no warning. Just fight a battle you can not survive, amidst the rubble of the civilized world, and the bodies of the fallen. It gets to me every time.

I never noticed the beginning of the game is meant to show you how disposable a soldier is. Their name, birthday, and death day is to humanize them just before jumping back into action and dying again.

I think Dice should make a sequel to BF1. I am passionate about WW1, I am French, I live in the northeast of France, and I am close to all the former front lines that were the most intense during the war. I believe that Battlefield can tell even more of the story of WW1; there are so many other fronts to showcase, weapons that haven't been shown, possible maps, and stories to ensure we don't forget that war. I love the FPS series on WW1 by BlackMill Games, but I would like to see Dice propose a game on WW1 again one day.
