Straw heads on sticks with helmets were actually used in the trenches to find snipers. They would put them up above the trench and when the enemy sniper would shoot it, they would pull it down to see the entry angle of the bullet and find the direction of the sniper. Then they would trench mortar or artillery strike the snipers position.

the reason that the building dissappears is because you're at the edge of the render boxes. what are these? Well, basically to cut down on lag, developers will have the game load in chunks, so while you were on one side of a building, the game would know not to render anything behind the building. the location you're in is where two of these render boxes merge, so its wondering which side of the ballroom you're on

it's just a bunch of lowercase L's and uppercase i's to make it difficult for people to find his battle. he used to do it back in BF3 when DICE hadn't implemented the private profile feature. well it looks like in BF1, they removed it because they're reworking battlelog.

The gunners on the planes are really insane in this. The only plane a fighter can take out is another fighter. Possibly an attack plane if he doesn't have a gunner.. but the fact that they can swivel that gun 360 degrees is insane.. and shoot through the plane without damaging it.

At the top of the building around 2:20, your inside an occluder :). Was the roof complete at the beginning? If yes, then it's probably when it gets destroyed, the occluder is not reduced to cover the destroyed part as well and then when you go up there you are inside the original shape of the roof, inside that occluder. They have no collision you can go inside them easily. BF4 had a couple of occluders like that, especially on some building corners. They should fix this to the destroyed state by default all the time if they cannot update the occlusion.
