I’m telling you… keep doing the martial art films! People NEED to know who the greats are like Li, Chan, Yen, & Jaa classic martial art films heavily influenced anime. You gotta cover some content from the movie True Legend. Some GOAT stuff in that movie My dad grew up loving Bruce Lee & all martial arts. He got really deep into it. He studied the craft & then in his later years put me on to everything he loved. I still have memories of going to malls & standing at the foreign movie stand for an hour, listening to the guy try to sell martial art DVDs to my dad. Most of the time my dad would’ve already had the dvd they were trying to sell. He was that DEEP. We got 2 boxes stuffed with classics from 1970-2010

I was in my 20s when this came out. The trailer had the WHOLE HOOD JUMPING!!! Jackie Chan vs. Jet Li in a legit fight!? The two most accomplished Wushu stars at the time doing a major motion picture together and they were fighting for US? Both have been Wong Fei Hung. A little Easter egg for the nerds. I’ve always thought that was so cool.

I have a soft spot for drunken style so I favor Jackie by default (Second to Wing Chun). To me in that fight it didn't seem like Jackie was fighting all out really, or at least not as much as Li was so I think if he was going 100% he would win in that fight. If I remember, wasn't there a movie where praying mantis was used against tiger claw and Li won that match by attacking his hands and palms with piercing strikes. (Hold up, ChatGPT help me out here...... ah yes Fist of Legend, but not sure if it was actual Praying Mantis style or something similar to it.) And now I have to re-watch Forbidden Kingdom and Fist of Legend which I KNOW is going to make me re-watch all of IP Man lol.
