Having an obsession with food/calories is so hard... I've been there myself. I salute Jackie for her honesty and bravery to talk about it on camera. You go girl!!! 💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼

Although I don’t suffer from an eating disorder I can relate to the idea of having obsessions/compulsions and rituals. It’s hard knowing what you are doing isn’t right but it’s not easy to stop. Thanks Jackie for being so vulnerable.

It’s interesting to hear her speak of her ritual of eating the same meal every day, right after hearing David Beckham say Victoria has the same habit.

It’s not uncommon in disordered eating. It gives people a feeling of control of eating “safe” foods.

I love these 2. It's like my parents and it's all I ever wanted to give my kids but hey ho co parenting it is. I changed from substance addiction to food issues so well-done for being open and honest about something so difficult and something people don't realise is as serious as it is. 👍🇬🇧💕

Jackie's eating disorder is extremely different from Rinna and her daughters. It sounds so dangerous and life threatening. I never knew one could relapse from it.
@nicolahui60692 жыл бұрын
Yea its hard, and the worse thing about EDs from my experience is that it you never really recover from it, it's always going to be in the back of your mind but you need to learn to block it out. Most ppl with EDs relapse once or twice, I had/have bulmia and relapsed four times and it is really hard. I applaud Jackie for being so brave to talk about it on national TV.

Jackie is wonderful and she grows each season - the level of vulnerability and honesty we saw here was God housewife tier IMO. It was raw. The discussion of her relapse removed the self-isolation and denial aspects which cloak disordered eating behaviour, something many people with EDs refuse to ever give up. By admitting she has regressed, to her family, to us, she has willingly given up that privacy and secrecy that allow ED sufferers, like her, to self-sabotage continuously to the point of irreversible damage.

wow I never would've known that she was/is struggling with this, it's a very sensitive topic, and glad she talked about it on her platform. Alot of people struggle with this silently. Bless everyone on this thread 🙏☺️☺️

I haven't been a fan of jackie. But I've been were she is only eating salad and salad 🥗. But my wonderful family and friends and my fantastic husband helped me to be were I am today. I love the fact she has opened up to her brilliant husband. That takes a lot of courage to be even speaking about it on camera. I take my hat off to her. JACKIE you will get there and you will kick it's arse hunni 😘. Love from Glasgow Scotland xx

When I was a young man; I was extremely skinny. It was an absolute struggle trying to gain weight. I ate. And did weights. I fought and tried. Until I had periods when I just stopped eating because I was so tired and was so sick of food. I'm in my 40, and fitter, gym gave me results and eating I have no issue. But we do need help sometimes. I wish I did but I didn't, I made it through though.

I feel sorry for her, but I couldn’t help but think: how is she worried about the calories in food, but not the calories in the alcohol she drinks?
@florianduffo1432 жыл бұрын
I can't speak for her but from my own experience with e.d, it's more about how what you eat or drink lands on your stomach rather than calories count. I would drink alcohol but not feel bad because it didn't make me feel "full" so I wouldn't think it would make me gain weight (dumb thinking of course). Sorry if it seems unclear it's hard to put words onto those types of thinking process (and English isn't my native tongue)

Maybe she needs to get some fat friends to help change her subconscious view of definition of fat/ weight gain. She is too stuck on fear of weight gain. A few extra pounds wont hurt at all. I hope she gets help for her kids sake. Keep strong Jackie!!

This are first world countries problems, your fridge and food pantry is full of food but you got psychological eating problems, is because you can choose what to eat or when to eat, unlike in starving coutries that bullshit doesn't exist. anorexia and bulimia wtf if you dont want to eat starve you will eat when you hungry , but when you dont know when the next meal is going to be ....people are just working into their mouth you grow mentally strong ..being too previlledge makes children grew vulnerable and mentally weak especially when you live a life with a lot of options
