He was a naturally-dynamic and amazing performer. I saw him several times in the early 60s, and he never failed to steal the show. I wanted to be him, have his hair etc. However, his singing was a gift beyond anything I could accomplish and I am white. Seeing photos of me from that period are embarrassing today, but at 12-13, it was rocking.

Jackie's most noteworthy offspring OUTSIDE of marriage was Bobby Brooks Wilson/ Who looks and sounds more like Jackie than ANYBODY past or present. Shame on the producer of this video for not even MENTIONING his name. Let's say for the sake of argument he wasn't related . Just the fact that he has done more to sustain the musical memory of Jackie would deserve him at least an honorable mention. There's a video out where there is an audio comparison of Bobby and Jackie's speech pattern similarities even down to their laugh/ It has won over many non believers as some things you simply cannot fake .

My husband I just saw Bobby Wilson in concert here in the Cleveland area just yesterday! He is an amazing talent who look just like his day. He is keeping his dad's legacy alive. He has a documentary in the works called the "The Last Teardrop." I hope it come out soon. Thanks for mentioning him.
