What I'm understanding from Shroff's food philosophy is that. He likes the natural taste of the ingredients without too many ingredients that's why no stirring, minimal spices and very particular in that as well. And that is a very good approach which appeals for people like me who suffers from acid reflux. Minimal oil and spices and preserving all the health benefits.

I never understood why jackie shroff has such fame and stardom. Now i can understand. He came from humble begginings , even after becoming a star he stayed true toward it. No other star would have guts to talk about desi receipes, because avacados are highly acceptable and they would loose their ELITE status. Jackie is not afraid to flaunt his roots, and humble beginings. That is why probably my grandfather generation liked him. Today all stars either come from high class metro families, business families or from within industry. Jackie not afraid to be himself, is now quite unique. Those receipes he might not be able to explain because he is not a chef, but probably thats what he ate when his mom made it for him. That eggplant one is quite relatable because my grandfather would say the same thing, my motber still makes eggplant Bharta likes that after learning. Its more yummy when you add roasted tomatoes too. Raw mustard oil is SO relatable, my father saw this and said yep "he is still grounded".
