Ohh my gosh!! I did the twisted pigtails and totally surprised myself! I didn’t have any Bobby pins handy so I just pulled it loose only slightly but I have really thick crazy hair so it doesn’t take much to create a lot of volume. It looked super cool and my husband loved it. Thank you!! Will practice more but it’s great when I can surprise myself by doing something new. ❤️❤️

In the 1940's Makeup was downplayed heavily, except for the bright red lips in a "Hunter's Bow" Lip shape. Allie was a southern belle in an urban area so she would've been very aware of the stars' beauty looks like Rita Hayworth and Vivien Leigh, and would try to emulate them. Sorry I'm an amature Fashion and Makeup historian absolute in love with the 1940's, and I think you did a fantastic job of recreating Allie's 1940's beauty look!
