In my opinion, I think Black Hole is well aware that he’s in a dream, and he actually put up an act. I’m not really sure if he knows he’s having a nightmare when Two announced to kill everyone, but you can see that a lot of times he was pretending to “accidentally” save them and getting distracted. I think he purposely killed everyone but Fanny just because he wanted a conversation with her. Either way no matter if it’s Black Hole’s destructive nature or an act, this arc is great!

I hate how nobody noticed this. In Black Hole’s nightmare, Black Hole sucks up Two and a bunch of random people as seen at 5:00. But look closer, and these people are contestants. But why is Remote there? Pie? Lightning? Liy? The seven people you see here are *NOT* randomly selected. They have played on a team with Black Hole, this is a cute detail that defines Black Hole really cares about his teammates. But if you thought Liy is still in the EXIT, you are wrong. Remember the stingers of episode 1, 7, and 9? Those are actually flashbacks to April 2020. Now that episode 13 is out, Liy is finally competing after six years. Even if nobody still notices her, she really missed a lot.

This episode felt so unique. First off the thumbnail, which looks DOPE. The challenge with the nightmares was very creative (Honestly most of them felt more like dreams). And the arcs holy FUDGE they did a great job on implementing them. Like Taggy becoming friends with Book, or Clock reuniting with Winner again. I know people are mostly talking about One and what they’re up to, but I just wanna admire how well Book’s nightmare does the early BFB anination style. Like, it’s subtle, but it’s REALLY well done. I especially love seeing more of Two in that sorta sloppy inconsistent off-model artstyle with lines not quite connecting or with a bit of the outline peaking into the actual character that early Four and X had that sorta got lost as the series normalized the Algebralians. Don’t get me wrong, I love how smooth they look now, but I just LOVE that sorta wobbly compressed look where there’s no actual assets for the Algebralians and they just kinda change shape rapidly, especially that thing Four used to do where their mouth was just kinda a shape that got deformed and stretched into different shapes. But obviously it’s easier and cleaner to just use an asset like every other character would and only animate the limbs and face, so I’m not tryin’ to say that the show needs to go back to that way of animating Algebralians.

I think that Fanny’s conversation with Black Hole was the best part of the episode. Fanny is just trying to talk to Black Hole about the nightmare he’s had, which could lead to bad stuff in the future, and Black Hole is talking about how he tries his best. Overall, this episode was GOD TIER. Unique challenge, new, cool locations, and great character development! Can’t wait for TPOT 11!

This episode is the best episode in a long time! So many hidden details and emotional character plots in this one! I also love the fact that Book's dream was a throwback to the style when Bfb started. Loved the emotional journey between Blackhole and fanny, Winner and clock, and Pillow, Price tag, and Book. Wow, this is the BEST EPISODE EVER. I can't believe how many old arcs were finished and a new arc was formed too! Clock and Winner are good now, Pen's... still in debt (that's why it says edited lol, i made a mistake), the Death Pact (or 'Life Pact' as it's called now) drama is over. And for the new arc, Book has found a new friend in Price Tag, which has improved both of their characters for me (I even voted for Price Tag this episode). And let's not forget you can vote in a poll now, which makes it easier for us viewers (especially the ones with no YT account), and also the Huang twins, since they can now count the votes automatically. I think we should all say thank you to the Huang twins for such an amazing series, and creating such an amazing community. This episode was definitely worth the wait. It was pretty goofy, but it was still probably the best episode of the season. These episodes just keep getting better and better. Every aspect of this episode was very well written and beautiful, and the arcs were extremely well worked on in this episode. The loser-winner ordeal, in chronological order: 1: BEFORE BFDI Before BFDI, represented with the sketch-like animation, Winner and Loser were close friends performing for a concert. They’d play games such as Loser Cake, later rebranded by Match as ‘Spongy Cake.’ We can assume that, at or after this time, Match was also a fan, and parodied the game. 2: DURING BFDI Loser and Winner travelled Goiky, briefly doing cameos in an episode of BFDI. We can conclude that this is still the ‘start of Loser’s career,’ as Clock says so in TPOT one. 3: DURING BFDI-IDFB Loser’s ambitions surpass Winner’s - starting production on a movie, making a plush and manufacturing a cereal company. Yellow face buys these Loser O’s, probably storing them in his warehouse or Ad Dimension. 4: BETWEEN IDFB-BFB Happening right before BFB, shown with the artstyle and BFB background, Loser ‘goes solo.’ Winner tries to perform with other friends, such as Roboty, but doesn’t get success. Roboty later joins BFB. 5: DURING BFB Loser becomes a contestant in BFB. He is the most popular character amongst the cast, eventually getting eliminated - once during pre-split, and one post. Winner is a recommended character in this period, showing that they still lingered around the BFB location. 6: DURING TPOT Winner decided to debut for a spot in TPOT. My theory is that Winner wanted to be a ‘regular contestant,’ not a popular loser-associated star. Winner, seeing Loser stick with Four, decided to join the loser-absent TPOT. Here, clock would obsess over Winner because of his past with Loser. This means Clock only knows about Winner’s BFDI past. However, Winner (as mentioned before) does not want to be linked with Loser anymore. This causes the clock-winner arc to start. 6.1: THE CLOCK-WINNER ARC Clock decides to go on the same team as winner. He suggests the team name to be “The Winners,” however Winner declines. This first shows clock’s obsession with Winner. After episodes of constant attachment, Clock’s obsession gets the team UFE when he forces Winner to perform. This gets Clock eliminated, however, two pities them and lets him stay in the kitchen until Clock’s issues are sorted. This episode, clock confronts Winner again in their dream. After Winner explains his past from before BFDI and before BFB, explaining _how_ winner ‘faded into obscurity,’ Clock and Winner make up. This concludes Winner’s arc. 7: FUTURE? [Personal assumptions ahead]. Perhaps, if Winner gets eliminated, he’ll confornt Clock again in Two’s inverted city. I think after this, their relationship would be more like the post-split book-taco one. Maybe, just maybe, Winner could even see Loser again in TPOT’s finale. It’s possible - we see that Firey and Leafy found their dream island after the end of BFB, so Loser could still be hanging around Goiky, performing concerts and touring. Maybe even Winner would join in, though that’d contradict this entire arc. So, if Loser scales back in celebrity status, they and Winner could possibly become friends again. Note: This timeline suggests that Winner and Loser were a duo right up until a few years before BFB. The movie was also made sometime between IDFB-BFB, and with clock saying that was ‘at the start of Loser’s career,’ we can assume that Loser was a recent movie star at BFB’s start.
