Flash and Pan are Australians George Young (older brother of AC/DC) and Harry Vanda, both ex 1960's Australian legends The Easybeats, whose classic pop hit Friday on My Mind was covered by Bowie on his Pin Ups album. George and Harry produced early AC/DC, and their Flash and the Pan albums from the 70's are very influential: they have been covered by Grace Jones, Walking in the Rain, if I remember correctly.

17:43 Link Wray was great with some of his best tunes being 'Rumble', as Tuco mentioned, 'Jack The Ripper', 'Switchblade', and even a great version of the 1960's 'Batman' TV series theme, etc. I saw him in Toronto back in the late-90's and he was amazing. He even let people in the audience strum on his electric guitar while he was holding it and the music was so loud that my ears rang for three days. :)

I haven't yet completely lost hope that I will one day find some heavy metal at the thrift store. I found "them" by king diamond loose and beat up at a Goodwill and I didn't grab it but it renew my hope alittle. Great grab on that Ozzy that goes at a premium even though it's pretty common.

Check your Elvis Costello album to see if it’s a first pressing. Check the label on the disc. Where it usually says “Columbia” around the outer circle. First pressings will say “Costello” instead of Columbia. I’m curious as to which copy you have. Good video this time. You’re getting better at editing your videos to mostly show the essential things we tune in to see.

Now that was some impressive haul from Carter Lake, everything there was pure vinyl gold. Biggest disappointment in the world is running across a great vinyl find and finding the record is either not in the sleeve, or its the wrong title (usually a Lawrence Welk reject). Donny Osmond, Superstar....Rock God is absolutely what you aren't. Great finds with Ozzy and Kiss if they're in good shape.

6:02 Speaking of finding no records inside the album covers (although a Value Village cashier once gave me an empty record cover for free), I once visited a Value Village where EVERY SINGLE record had been put into the wrong album cover. There must have been a kid fiddling around thinking the records were toys. So, I had to diligently check every album I was interested in to make sure I had the correct record and I even warned other record hunters there to double-check. Grrrrrrrrrrr.

Yikes, very high prices for an "estate" sale! Estate sales usually means someone assumed room temperature - did he price his items before or after he passed? I wouldn't have bought any of those 45s (should have been $6 for the stack), but. I would have bought quite a few of those LPs if they were near mint, especially the Sire Records LPs! The Flash In The Pan LP is ex-Easybeats and very good! You did very well at that "estate" sale with the LPs and now I wonder what gems you missed there! ...Re: The Action store: Don't know how any store can survive when open only 2 days of the week! My private home "store" is open every day of the week! ... Now I'll check out that Cosmic Vinyl channel you recommend!
